Inspection is an essential political task in building a transparent, disciplined government, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management. From the beginning of this year, the entire inspection sector in the province has conducted 26 administrative inspections and 320 specialized inspections. As a result, violations related to economic issues were discovered, totaling nearly VND 3 billion; recommendations for the recovery of about VND 2.8 billion were made; 213 administrative penalty decisions were issued, totaling over VND 2.1 billion; 92 organizations and 72 individuals were recommended for administrative handling. Notably, 19 cases and 6 individuals were recommended for transfer to the investigation agency for acts related to forest destruction and illegal logging.
A highlight is that almost all inspection conclusions have been followed through seriously. Most of the violated funds have been recovered and processed according to proper procedures. Agencies, units, and localities have shown a spirit of openness, accepted inspection recommendations, and proactively addressed the shortcomings. The rate of implementing inspection recommendations continues to be high, reflecting the quality and effectiveness of the inspection work in practice.

Mr. Vùi Văn Nguyện, Head of the provincial Inspectorate, stated: “Each inspection is built with the right goals, not spread out, and not just for show. Inspection is not only about detecting and handling violations but, more deeply, about helping agencies and units comply with regulations, avoid legal risks, reduce waste, and prevent corruption right from the start.”
The work of receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations is also a highlight. Agencies and units in the province have received and processed hundreds of petitions in accordance with their competence and proper procedures, ensuring the legal rights of citizens. Issues have been publicly and transparently discussed, reducing the occurrence of complex, prolonged, or escalated complaints. Especially, all cases under the authority have been resolved thoroughly, with a high rate of resolution, earning consensus from the grassroots level.
In the field of anti-corruption, the provincial Inspectorate has advised local party committees and governments to issue many directives and specific, practical action plans. Activities for law dissemination and education on anti-corruption have been carried out in a diverse, flexible manner, targeting officials, party members, public servants, and employees - those who are at higher risk and have the conditions to engage in corruption. Asset and income control work has been carried out on schedule. Verification and inspections have been conducted according to plans and procedures, ensuring objectivity and contributing to the development of an honest public servant team.
Specialized inspections have also been strongly implemented at the grassroots level. Through checks, 216 individuals and 208 organizations with violations were discovered and penalized, mainly in the fields of finance, education, environment, and natural resources. Some cases with criminal signs have been promptly transferred to the investigation agency for further handling according to the law, showing a strict and objective approach to handling violations.
Additionally, the inspectorate has successfully organized 10 inspections on compliance with the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, and the Law on Anti-corruption at various departments, sectors, and localities. The inspections have corrected many shortcomings in the citizen reception process, handling of petitions, and have recommended the review and improvement of 8 groups and 15 individuals involved. This not only strengthens the responsibility of civil servants but also improves the quality of the administrative system at the grassroots level.
Inspection is no easy task. If inspectors lack integrity, impartiality, or a sense of responsibility, they can easily compromise or be influenced during their duties. Therefore, inspectors must maintain independence, be cautious, but decisive when detecting violations. From practice, it can be affirmed that focusing inspections on key issues and resolving them within the appropriate authority is both a professional principle and a political requirement. In the context of administrative reforms, digital transformation, streamlining the apparatus, and tightening discipline, the role of inspections is becoming more and more prominent. When inspections are carried out properly, transparently, and effectively, they contribute to preventing negative behaviors, motivating agencies and units to complete their tasks, and serve local people and the development of the province more effectively.
