Spectacular program welcomes 2025 Lunar New Year

ĐBP - On the evening of January 28, or the Lunar New Year (Tết)’s Eve, Điện Biên Phủ City (Điện Biên Province), in collaboration with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, hosted a special artistic program to celebrate the arrival of Tết at the May 7 Square.

Attending the program were Mr. Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

The opening performance “Vietnam Oi, Spring Has Arrived - The Party Gives Us Faith and Love” kicks off the program.

The art program, themed “Harmonious Spring Melodies”, was a special artistic performance to welcome the 2025 Tết, commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025), and celebrate Điện Biên Province’s remarkable achievements in 2024 across various fields.

The event created a joyful and exciting atmosphere, motivating continued success in economic and social development and setting the stage for further achievements in 2025.

A performance in Part 2 “Proud Homeland, Vietnam,” featuring the symbolic bamboo and traditional áo dài.

The “Harmonious Spring Melodies” featured three parts, performed by artists, singers, and dancers from the Điện Biên Provincial Art Troupe, the Center for Culture and Cinema, cultural artists at grassroots level in the province, and guest performers from Hanoi.

The first part, “Proud Homeland, Vietnam,” showcased vibrant singing and dance performances. The second part, “Điện Biên - The Land I Love,” presented performances deeply rooted in the cultural identities of Điện Biên’s ethnic minority groups, offering audiences a broader appreciation of the province’s rich tradition and heroic past. Meanwhile, the third part, “Spring’s Aspirations,” expressed the province’s hopes, confidence, and potential for socio-economic growth in the 2025 Lunar New Year.
