The event was organised to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front (18 November 1930 – 18 November 2024).
Mùa A Vảng, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front, along with leaders from various provincial departments, Điện Biên Đông District, and a large number of local residents, also attended the event.
At the festival, delegates and residents of Tìa Ló A and B villages reflected on the 94 years of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front’s development and role in the new era. They also received reports on the national unity block’s situation and the results of patriotic movements and campaigns in local communities in 2024.
Tìa Ló A and B villages, with a population of 157 households, are home to an entirely Mông ethnic population. The poverty rate in the villages stands at 40.76 per cent.
In recent years, the people of the two villages have maintained unity, implemented the Party's policies, and adhered to state laws. They have actively participated in the campaign “All People Unite to Build Cultural Life in the Community,” achieving notable results.
The total area under cultivation in 2024 increased by 3.26 hectares compared to the previous year. The villagers also performed well in the conservation of the forests they manage, receiving over VNĐ100 million annually for environmental services.
Currently, the villages are working on developing community-based tourism and expanding their economy through tourism and services.
In his speech, Chairman Đô acknowledged and praised the achievements of the local authorities and residents in the past year. He urged the villagers of Tìa Ló A and B to continue fostering unity among ethnic groups, carry out political duties effectively, and actively participate in movements organised by local authorities and organisations.
He suggested that the people of the two villages focus on implementing effective socio-economic development programmes, such as agricultural and forestry production, prioritsing high-value crops, and committing to overcoming challenges in building community-based tourism.
Chairman Đô also encouraged the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values for tourism development while resolutely combating harmful practices such as child marriage and incestuous marriage.
He expressed hope that the people of Tìa Ló A and B would embody confidence, self-reliance, and determination to overcome difficulties, striving for prosperity and to improve the livelihoods of their families and society as a whole.
On this occasion, Chairman Đô presented gifts to the people of the two villages; the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front presented gifts to five esteemed individuals from Noong U Commune; and the local government awarded certificates of merit to families that achieved cultural family status for three consecutive years.
