Multiplying exemplary models

ĐBP - Responding to patriotic emulation movements, in recent years many exemplary collectives and individuals have emerged across various fields in Điện Biên province. Their good deeds and effective practices have spread, encouraging agencies, units, localities, organizations, and individuals to learn and follow.

In implementing patriotic emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, the Central Vietnam Women’s Union, and the provincial People’s Committee, the Điện Biên provincial Women’s Union has focused on directing synchronized and effective actions. Among the most prominent is the movement “The Whole Country Joins Hands to Build New Rural Areas,” which has been linked with major campaigns and movements such as “Building 5-No, 3-Clean Families” and “Each Rural Household with One Clean Vegetable Garden and at Least 10 Poultry and One Livestock.” These initiatives have made practical contributions to building new rural areas and improving members’ living standards.

The Union has also carried out creative models suited to local conditions, including “Collecting Recyclable Waste to Raise Funds,” “Clean Houses, Beautiful Gates, Green Gardens,” happy family clubs, anti-domestic violence clubs, and the model “Turning Waste into Money.” Savings movements have been developed to create loan funds that help members expand production and business. Notably, the program “Accompanying Border Women” has been implemented effectively, helping members in disadvantaged areas build livelihoods and increase incomes.

Through the movement “The Whole Country Joins Hands for the Poor - Leaving No One Behind” and in response to the program “Millions of Gifts Sharing Love,” the provincial Women’s Union at all levels mobilized over VND 4.8 billion to support and present gifts to poor people and disadvantaged children; took responsibility for caring for and supporting 273 orphans under the “Adoptive Mother” program; and helped build 53 “Compassionate Houses” for poor members. With the emulation movement “Building the Image of Vietnamese Women in the New Era,” the Union linked the effort to studying and following Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style, shaping the image of “Điện Biên Women: Friendly, Creative, Aspiring, and Progressive.” Up to now, the movement has been widely implemented, yielding clear results and raising members’ awareness.

Through these emulation movements, the Union has identified, fostered, and expanded many exemplary collectives and individuals. In the 2020-2025 period alone, the provincial Women’s Union has introduced more than 1,140 exemplary models, including many effective initiatives developed under the motto “three togethers” (listening together, speaking together, working together). Many outstanding women have been honored and commended.

Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School has been recognized as an outstanding unit leading the emulation movement “Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching, and Learning” for the past five years. The school consistently leads the province in quality education for gifted students. Its students’ scores in provincial exams for excellent students are always ranked first, and the number and quality of national academic awards have increased each year. The school’s graduation rate has remained at 100 percent annually, and its average university admission rate exceeds 99 percent. All teachers are rated as good or excellent in their professional qualifications. The school has also recorded more than 100 initiatives acknowledged for their scope of influence and effectiveness at both sectoral and provincial levels. Over the past five years, the school has received many prestigious honors, including the Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and the provincial People’s Committee for outstanding achievements in fulfilling its mission.

According to principal Bùi Thị Anh, in response to the emulation movement, the school has always focused on renewing leadership and working methods to be close to both people and tasks. It has increased the application of science and technology in teaching and learning and paid special attention to innovating teaching methods, encouraging self-study, and fostering creativity.

These are just two of the hundreds of exemplary collectives and individuals who have stood out in patriotic emulation movements in Điện Biên province in recent years. Each collective and individual in their own field has made continuous efforts, striven for excellence, and actively engaged in emulation to fulfill their responsibilities and tasks. In doing so, they have contributed to successfully carrying out the province’s political mission and have become exemplary models for agencies, units, organizations, and individuals to follow.
