At Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School, learning and following Uncle Hồ has become a regular practice among staff, Party members, and teachers. Each year, based on the thematic content set by the central directive, the school’s Party Committee requires members to commit to self-improvement and register for specific actions aligned with their professional responsibilities, such as developing a scientific, dynamic, and creative working style, or reforming leadership and work habits to be more people-oriented and efficient.
The school has also increased its use of technology in teaching, embraced student-centered and creative learning methods, and effectively implemented the 2018 General Education Curriculum. As a result, it continues to lead the province in academic excellence. A high proportion of the school’s teachers and students have earned accolades in district, provincial, and national-level competitions. The school has been honored with multiple awards for its outstanding contributions.
According to Hoàng Tuyết Ban, Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Education and Training (DoET), the department has directed schools to integrate Hồ Chí Minh’s teachings into weekly flag ceremonies, student orientation weeks, themed talks, educational film screenings, and storytelling contests about President Hồ’s life and legacy. The provincial Party Committee has urged schools to reform teaching methods, improve instructional quality, and incorporate study materials focused on Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle into both classroom teaching and extracurricular activities. The textbook series “Uncle Hồ and Lessons on Morality and Lifestyle” has been widely used in this effort.

The DoET has identified key breakthroughs in following Hồ Chí Minh’s example, including enhancing the leadership role of grassroots Party organizations and strengthening Party members’ responsibilities. This ensures Party cells serve as true political nuclei that effectively lead, manage, and train officials and teachers, while enhancing the Party’s leadership capacity and internal unity.
In addition, the department has been building an honest, dynamic, and people-oriented administrative apparatus, aiming to prevent moral decline, political apathy, and internal “self-evolution” or “self-transformation.” Public employees are required to adopt a disciplined, service-minded work ethic.
Ethics in education is also a top priority. The department has issued codes of conduct and requires staff to sign annual compliance pledges. At the same time, it intensifies supervision to detect and correct violations promptly, thereby upholding the image of teachers as "professional - approachable - dedicated" educators.
The movement to study and follow Uncle Hồ’s teachings is closely tied to emulation campaigns such as “Innovation and Creativity in Teaching and Learning,” “Building Friendly Schools, Active Students,” and “Each Teacher is a Moral Example of Self-Study and Innovation.” These initiatives have helped improve the professional capabilities of educational managers and teachers while enhancing the overall quality of teaching and learning. Numerous exemplary individuals and collectives have emerged as role models across the education sector.
Through this movement, Điện Biên’s education sector has witnessed clear improvements in ideology, awareness, ethics, and lifestyle among teachers and Party members. Work styles have become more disciplined, and the quality of education continues to rise. By following Hồ Chí Minh’s example, the sector has also helped curb negative behaviors in education, fostered solidarity, and promoted exemplary conduct among education leaders and staff, strengthening the image of the Vietnamese teacher as a true moral guide.
