Điện Biên School of Politics organizes Party Congress for new term

ĐBP - Over two days (March 28 - 29), the Party Committee of the Điện Biên provincial School of Politics convened its 28th Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. Trần Cao Cường, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Agencies, attended and provided guidance.

During the 2020 - 2025 tenure, the Party Committee of the provincial School of Politics remained aligned with the Party’s policies, state laws, and the province’s political priorities. Despite challenges, the school made significant strides in fulfilling its mission, achieving - or even surpassing in some cases - its set targets. Notably, the scale and quality of cadre training and development have improved considerably. Over the term, the school organized and collaborated on 109 training courses for 6,700 students. Many graduates have successfully applied their knowledge, with some assuming key leadership positions at the grassroots level.

Scientific research, field studies, and practical assessments have been consistently maintained and enhanced in quality. The Party Committee oversaw the completion of 14 department-level research projects, 10 academic seminars, and 15 issues of the school’s Theory and Practice Journal, featuring approximately 200 articles and research papers supporting teaching activities.

The faculty and staff have continued to grow in both quantity and qualifications, with an increasing number of lecturers holding master’s and doctoral degrees. Infrastructure and teaching equipment have been gradually upgraded, and the school’s organizational structure has been streamlined. Additionally, digital transformation has been actively pursued to modernize data management and administrative processes.

For the 2025 - 2030 term, the congress outlined seven key tasks, 12 primary targets, and seven strategic solutions.

In his speech, Trần Cao Cường congratulated the Party Committee on its achievements over the past term. He emphasized that to further elevate its position and training quality, the school must proactively address challenges, enhance the effectiveness of teaching and research management, and promote scientific research and practical assessments. He also urged the Party Committee to reinforce internal unity, maintain strong leadership cohesion, and balance collective wisdom with individual accountability in executing its mission. The school should leverage its strengths to attain national standard certification in alignment with the approved master plan, striving to meet Level 1 standards by 2025 and Level 2 by 2030.

Delegates cast their votes to elect the Party Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

In a spirit of democracy and responsibility, the congress elected a new Party Executive Committee comprising seven members for the 2025 - 2030 term. At the first meeting of the newly elected Party Executive Committee, Lê Tiến Dũng, Secretary of the 27th Party Committee, was re-elected as Secretary of the 28th Party Committee of the provincial School of Politics.

The newly elected Party Executive Committee of the provincial School of Politics makes debut at the congress.

The congress also elected three members to the Party Committee’s Inspection Commission and selected 15 delegates (with three alternates) to attend the second Congress of the provincial Party Committee of Agencies for the 2025 - 2030 term.
