The contest helps participants expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and nurture dreams of becoming inventors in the future. After nine editions, the contest has become a meaningful platform that attracts widespread participation from the youth. The 9th provincial Youths and Children’s Innovation Contest (2025 edition) was launched in February 2025. After four months of promotion, ending in May, the contest attracted many young participants from localities across the province. The organizers received 79 entries, categorized into five fields: Environmentally friendly products; environmental protection and economic development; educational tools; computer software; and household utensils and children’s toys.
Nguyễn Song Bình, Chairman of the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and Head of the Organizing Committee, shared: “A highlight of this year’s contest is that all fields saw participation, with the most entries in the category of Environmentally Friendly Products (25 entries), followed by Environmental Protection and Economic Development (16 entries), Educational Tools (15 entries), and the remaining in other categories. The submitted products have been reviewed, categorized, coded, and filed according to their respective categories.”

Among this year’s contestants is Khoàng Lò Anh Thư, a student from Sông Đà Secondary School, who submitted a product titled “The Roots of My Homeland” , a model of traditional Thai ethnic life , in the category of environmentally friendly products.
Anh Thư shared: “This product is designed to support lessons in Local Education and Art subjects. The model recreates the stilt house and natural scenery associated with Thai culture. It is made from readily available natural materials such as wood sticks, dry branches, and bamboo, which reduces costs, minimizes environmental waste, and is easy for students to make. It serves both decorative and educational purposes. In addition to being environmentally friendly and highly educational, the product fosters cultural pride and artistic creativity.”

Another innovative idea came from Nguyễn Quang Minh, a student at Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School. Observing that youth activities are vibrant but current communication channels (like school bulletins, social media pages, or group chats) are limited in terms of accessibility and information storage, Minh and two classmates created a digital solution: a website titled “Youths 4.0 - Breakthroughs in Young Innovation”.
Minh introduced the entry: “This platform is not just a news portal but a comprehensive digital ecosystem. It integrates artificial intelligence and modern technology to connect, share, and spread the positive values of youth. The website is designed to reflect the vibrant energy, creativity, and dedication of students at Lê Quý Đôn High School while being accessible to other students, parents, and the broader community.”

The website features a youth-friendly interface optimized for desktops, laptops, and smartphones, offering smooth, user-friendly navigation in line with current tech trends. Its main sections include: Highlighted youth news and activities; Inspiring young role models; Youth innovation and school-based startups; Stories of beautiful living; and a Digital Resource Hub.

To select the most outstanding works, especially those to represent the province at the National Youths and Children’s Innovation Contest 2025, the organizers are displaying and evaluating the submissions by category. The award ceremony is expected to take place in August.
