Nà Lơi Hydropower Plant prioritizes Workers’ welfare and rights

ĐBP - Over the years, the grassroots-level Trade Union of Nà Lơi Hydropower Plant, under the Cần Đơn Hydropower Joint Stock Company, has consistently played the role of a vital bridge between the enterprise and its employees.

With a strong focus on safeguarding legitimate rights and improving both the material and spiritual well-being of workers, the union has helped create a stable and motivating work environment, enabling union members to fulfill their duties effectively.

Recognizing that protecting the legal rights and improving the quality of life of workers is a key mission, the Trade Union has actively cooperated with the plant’s management to ensure full and timely implementation of labor-related policies. These include wages, bonuses, salary scales, promotion procedures, and contributions to social, health, and unemployment insurance. Thanks to these efforts, workers enjoy a stable income and secure living conditions.

Lê Minh Hùng, a member of the plant’s operations team, shared: “I have been with the plant since its construction phase. My current role suits my training, and the income is sufficient to support my family. We also participate in sports and recreational activities to relieve stress. With an average monthly income of over VND 10 million, we are also provided with on-site housing where the plant covers utility bills, helping improve our living standards.”

Lưu Thị Thủy, from the plant’s Finance-Accounting Office, added: “Having worked here for over 20 years, I find my current office job suitable for my age. The monthly salary is adequate for my family’s needs. Besides, our plant also actively engages in local social welfare programs. Every year, the Trade Union organizes Lunar New Year (Tết) visits and gives gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. We follow all state regulations regarding workers’ rights and support community programs initiated by the local authorities and Sông Đà Corporation.”

Dương Văn Đông, Deputy Director of the plant, noted: “Our workforce includes 45 employees, with 15 female staff. The Trade Union works closely with the management to ensure a supportive environment, both in terms of welfare and working conditions. All workers have stable jobs aligned with their skills, with an average monthly salary of VND 12 million. This fosters dedication and long-term commitment to the plant.”

To boost morale and foster a collective spirit, the plant’s Trade Union regularly launches emulation campaigns, including building a “Green - Clean - Safe Workplace” and ensuring occupational safety with zero accidents. It also promotes cost-saving practices and anti-waste and anti-corruption efforts. These initiatives have encouraged higher productivity and greater employee satisfaction.

In 2024, the Nà Lơi Hydropower Plant generated 51.955 million kWh of electricity, 111% of its annual target, bringing in VND 49.923 billion in revenue and contributing VND 18.631 billion to the state budget.

The recent achievements of the plant’s Trade Union affirm its essential role in enhancing employee welfare and fostering unity. This not only strengthens the internal culture of the plant but also bolsters its reputation in the community, contributing meaningfully to social development.
