The chapters have focused on advocating and effectively implementing the “all people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas” campaign. This campaign aims to mobilize people’s participation, create social consensus, strengthen and consolidate the all-people unity bloc, and meet the criteria for building new rural areas.
Every year, the chapters, in coordination with other organizations and local authorities, have implemented the campaign at every residential quarter. They have strengthened communication efforts to raise awareness among officials, Party members, and people about the objectives, significance, importance, content, and methods of implementing the New-style Rural Building Program. At the same time, they have mobilized people to actively participate in key components of the campaign, such as: promoting unity in economic development through agriculture and local industries; building a cultured lifestyle, eliminating outdated customs, and promoting civility in weddings, funerals, and festivals; supporting educational initiatives and encouraging the development of human resources; participating in environmental protection, creating a bright-green-clean-beautiful landscape; encouraging adherence to the law and ensuring social order and safety.

In addition to communication efforts, the chapters have mobilized people to contribute land, financial resources, and labor for the construction of roads, cultural houses, and other public infrastructure. As a result, the campaign has spread widely and produced tangible outcomes, making important contributions to the implementation of the New-style Rural Building Program across the province. As of the end of March, Điện Biên province has achieved the following results: 5 communes meeting advanced criteria for new-style rural areas; 26 communes meeting standard criteria for new-style rural areas. The average number of criteria fulfilled per commune is 14.68; 266 villages and hamlets have been recognized as standard or exemplary New Rural Building models. The material and spiritual lives of local people have been increasingly improved, and rural areas have seen noticeable and positive transformation in both appearance and quality of life.
Quàng Văn Phong, Deputy Chairman of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Điện Biên province, emphasized that to improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people, the committee and its chapters at all levels have strengthened communication and mobilization efforts, encouraging residents to actively participate in building a cultured lifestyle. This includes eliminating outdated customs, promoting civilized practices in weddings, funerals, and festivals; ensuring political security and social order; and promptly addressing conflicts and disputes within the community. As a result, the number of recognized cultural families, cultural villages, residential groups, agencies, and units has continued to increase each year.
In response to the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese products”, the chapters, in coordination with member organizations and relevant sectors, have stepped up communication efforts to promote the production and consumption of safe, high-quality Vietnamese goods. Trade promotion activities, product introduction and branding, as well as support for businesses in distribution and market expansion have also been actively implemented. As a result, public awareness and consumption habits have markedly shifted, with Vietnamese products increasingly favored and trusted by consumers.
The chapters have also carried out a wide range of activities to support the poor and contribute to ensuring social welfare. Notably, during the 2025 Lunar New Year, more than 72,200 gifts worth over VND 48.7 billion were distributed to people with meritorious services, policy beneficiaries, poor households, reputable community members, and workers in difficult circumstances across the province.
From the “For the Poor” Fund, the chapters have effectively implemented support programs for building Great solidarity houses, helping to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households. Recently, the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Điện Biên province successfully supported the construction of 300 “great solidarity” houses for poor and near-poor households in border villages of Điện Biên, Mường Chà, Mường Nhé, and Nậm Pồ districts.
Thanks to effective communication and mobilization efforts, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have united officials and people across the province in implementing patriotic emulation movements and national campaigns. These efforts have not only fostered social consensus and strengthened the great national unity bloc, but also made significant contributions to the successful realization of socio-economic development goals and the safeguarding of national defense and security in the province.
