The 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be the first to follow the 2018 General Education Program, with many changes in subjects, exam formats, and separate testing centers for candidates following the 2006 General Education Program. In preparation, the Department of Education and Training has advised on issuing directives, conducting training sessions, and preparing the necessary conditions for the exam.

It is estimated that the province will have 7,610 candidates (including about 800 private candidates) across 28 official exam centers (up 2 centers from last year), with 3 centers for candidates following the 2006 General Education Program and 25 centers for those following the 2018 General Education Program. Additionally, 22 backup exam centers are planned. A total of 1,540 staff members, including teachers, will participate in exam supervision, with 150 staff for grading, 74 for inspection, and 50 involved in other aspects of the exam.
Moving forward, the Steering Committee and the provincial Department of Education and Training will conduct checks on the preparation work as planned, advise the provincial People’s Committee to direct various departments, local authorities, and related organizations to coordinate for the exam, continue timely and comprehensive dissemination of new points about the exam, and prepare facilities at exam centers.

Vừ A Bằng emphasized several key points for discussion: Focusing on organizing the first-ever 2018 General Education Program exam centers; ensuring transportation during the rainy season; compiling and filtering candidates by program to organize exam centers; ensuring the transmission system for registration and the delivery of exam papers (digital transformation is a new feature of the exam); ensuring equipment for printing and grading multiple-choice papers.
Concluding the meeting, Vừ A Bằng required the provincial Department of Education and Training as the standing agency to closely follow and regularly update the guidelines and instructions from the central and local governments to organize a safe, serious, and regulation-compliant exam. Plans should be made for checking and monitoring preparations. Continued focus should be given to training exam supervisors, publicly sharing exam center information and new changes via the media and online platforms, ensuring students and parents are well-informed.

In the context of organizational restructuring, some challenges may arise, so all departments and localities need to participate seriously and actively, especially about helping students travel, providing meals and accommodation, ensuring candidates are ready to attend exams on time. The provincial police should coordinate with the education sector to implement security, safety, and confidentiality measures. The health sector, along with market management authorities, should ensure food safety and medical care at exam sites.
At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee discussed and agreed on the task assignments for the exam.
