Coming to Điện Biên in peak tree marigold flowering season

ĐBP – These days, dã quỳ (tree marigold) blooms are at their most vibrant, adorning the skies and landscapes of Điện Biên with a sweet, poetic beauty. The flowering season begins in November, as the early winter chill sets in, and lasts until the end of December each year.

The marigold are characterised by their many golden petals, flower diametres reaching 8–9cm, and plant heights of 2–3m. These hardy plants grow easily, forming large clusters. The tree marigold in Điện Biên flowers evokes a deep nostalgia in visitors from afar. Those who fall for the beauty of these flowers often find themselves packing their bags to explore Điện Biên, seeking the rustic charm of these golden blooms under the sun.

Without requiring meticulous care, these flowers burst into bloom every season. They can be seen along hillsides, stream banks, roadsides, and even beneath the eaves of homes belonging to the Thái and Mông ethnic groups. No matter urban or rural areas, visitors can admire the bright yellow blooms and capture stunning photographs.

While taking photographs of the marigold, Nguyễn Văn Chung, a tourist from Hà Nội, enthusiastically shared: "This is my first visit to Điện Biên during the tree marigold season. I saw these flowers mingling with the white reeds and villages bathed in golden hues. The scenery is stunning, and all of us are delighted."

Nguyễn Thị Trang, residing in Thanh Bình Ward (Điện Biên Phủ City), with years of experience photographing wild sunflowers with her family and friends, added: "The best times to admire and photograph the flowers are in the morning around 8-9am and in the afternoon around 4-5pm. These are the most beautiful moments of the day: the morning sunlight is gentle, and the flowers are in full bloom. In the late afternoon, the soft, golden light of sunset is perfect for those with a romantic spirit."

This is the peak time for marigold to blossom in full splendour, dressing the landscape in a fresh coat of vibrant beauty. It’s attracting many locals and tourists who seek to capture and share unforgettable moments.

Điện Biên is welcoming everyone with open arms to visit and witness the captivating beauty of wild sunflowers firsthand, a symbol of enduring vitality and committed, faithful love.
