Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, chairs the meeting of the Điện Biên Tourism Development Steering Committee.

At the meeting, the provincial People’s Committee reported to the Steering Committee on the deployment progress of the two key projects. Leaders of relevant departments and branches reported on land allocation and site clearance work, while the Party Committees of Điện Biên Phủ ward, Thanh Nưa commune, and Mường Phăng commune detailed the resettlement arrangement plans for households within the project areas. The departments, branches, and localities focused on clarifying the difficulties and obstacles encountered during the implementation process to promptly propose solutions.

The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee requested the provincial People’s Committee to adjust the implementation plans of the two projects by clearly defining the milestones for each task and deploying tasks in parallel to ensure progress. For the Điện Biên Phủ Cultural and Historical Tourism Cable Car Complex project, several tasks need to be conducted simultaneously, including formulating the 1/500 detailed planning, conducting measurements, identifying landowners, placing site clearance markers, and formulating, appraising, and approving the site clearance plan. The Party Committee and authorities of Mường Phăng commune need to strengthen dissemination and mobilization efforts to create consensus among households in the project area, thereby accelerating site clearance. Regarding the Northwestern Điện Biên Phủ Ward Urban, Resort Tourism, and Sports Service Project, the provincial People’s Committee needs to apply a rental support policy for households in the resettlement area to ensure the fastest possible site clearance.

Concurrently, it is necessary to strengthen coordination among departments, branches, and localities with a spirit of solidarity, consensus, and high determination to ensure the progress of the projects. Departments and branches must coordinate with communes and wards to review and accurately determine the number of households subject to resettlement, and urgently urge and complete the ongoing resettlement areas. He strictly required that the construction permits for the two projects be completed by June 15 at the latest.

For matters beyond their authority, agencies and units must proactively report to the Steering Committee for timely consideration and definitive resolution, creating favorable conditions to accelerate implementation progress.
