Opening of the 15th Congress of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030

ĐBP - This morning (October 15), at the provincial Conference and Culture Center, the 15th Congress of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term was solemnly opened with the participation of 358 official delegates representing over 49,000 Party members, symbolizing the will, wisdom, and strength of unity of the entire Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, attended and directed the Congress. Also in attendance were leaders from central committees, ministries, and branches, as well as delegations from the Party Committees of Lai Châu, Sơn La, and Vĩnh Long provinces.

From Điện Biên province, attendees included comrades: Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mùa A Sơn, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Trần Tiến Dũng, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; current and former provincial leaders through various periods; revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces.

The 15th Congress of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, has the theme: “Enhancing the leadership capacity and combat strength of the Party Committee; promoting the great national unity strength; boosting socio-economic development; ensuring national defense and security, expanding foreign relations; turning Điện Biên into a province developed towards a green, smart, and sustainable economy, striving to become a fairly developed province in the region.”

The Congress takes place from October 14-16.
