Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam pays courtesy visit to Điện Biên Province’s leader

ĐBP – On January 14, a delegation from the Malaysian Embassy in Vietnam, led by Ambassador Dato’ Tan Yang Thai, had a working session and paid courtesy visit to leader of the Điện Biên Provincial People’s Committee.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Điện Biên Provincial People’s Committee Phạm Đức Toàn, along with representatives of various provincial departments and agencies, welcomed and worked with the delegation.

On behalf of the province’s leaders, Mr. Phạm Đức Toàn warmly welcomed the delegation to Điện Biên Province. He provided Ambassador Dato’ Tan Yang Thai and the delegates with an overview of Điện Biên Province, including its socio-economic situations, emphasizing the province's potential and strengths in developing agriculture, forestry, tourism, and renewable energy.

To further strengthen relations between Điện Biên Province and international partners, including Malaysia, Mr. Phạm Đức Toàn urged the Malaysian Ambassador and delegates to focus on fostering cooperation with the province in key areas such as tourism, agriculture and agricultural product processing, education and training, and digital transformation.

On behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Dato’ Tan Yang Thai expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception by the province’s leader and appreciated the comprehensive information shared about Điện Biên Province and its socio-economic development. The diplomat emphasized his commitment to further promoting relations and cooperation between Điện Biên Province and Malaysian agencies and localities. He believed that the topics discussed during the meeting would be prioritized and implemented effectively in the near future, bringing practical results to the two sides.
