Điện Biên Provincial Party Secretary works with Tuần Giáo District Party Standing Committee

ĐBP - A working delegation led by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Điện Biên Provincial Party Secretary, met with the Tuần Giáo District’s Party Standing Committee to discuss the political tasks undertaken since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term and the key tasks moving forward.

Điện Biên Provincial Party Secretary Trần Quốc Cường speaks at the working session with the Tuần Giáo District’s Party Standing Committee.

Since the beginning of the term, Tuần Giáo District has achieved numerous significant results, with most targets meeting or exceeding the goals set out in the district party's resolution.

The district has effectively implemented breakthrough initiatives: advancing the agricultural restructuring plan, developing concentrated fruit-growing areas based on a value chain linkage model, and focusing on attracting resources to implement several major projects.

Efforts in party building and the political system have continued to receive attention. Mass mobilisation work has seen innovations in content and methods and the operation of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front and political-social organisations has been enhanced. However, the district has faced challenges in land management and forest protection. The poverty rate remains high.

The Provincial People’s Council Vice Chairwoman Giàng Thị Hoa speaks at the meeting.

During the meeting, representatives from Tuần Giáo District’s Party Standing Committee proposed an early amendment to Decision No45/2022/QĐ-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee, which stipulates the decentralisation of management for organisational structures, staffing, civil servants, public employees and enterprise managers.

They also requested specific guidelines for the appointment process of managerial public employees in district-level public units and approval for the investment project of the eastern main road in Tuần Giáo Town to expand development space, create new administrative, cultural, sports, and urban areas, and allocate land for socio-economic development.

The Provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Lò Văn Tiến delivers a speech at the meeting.

Delegates suggested the district further discuss several issues, including planning for Tuần Giáo town, new rural construction planning, accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, forest management and protection, crime prevention, and support for poor and near-poor households to eliminate temporary housing.

Provincial leaders and representatives from various departments also addressed and clarified some of the district’s proposals and recommendations.

In conclusion, Cường highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Party committee, the authority and people of Tuần Giáo District in realising the goals of the 23rd District Party Congress resolution. These achievements have significantly contributed to meeting the targets set by the 14th Provincial Party Congress resolution.

Tuần Giáo District’s leaders present their proposals at the working session with the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

However, Tuần Giáo District still has some limitations in their leadership, direction and task execution. Cường urged the district to continue innovating its mindset and working methods to lead the execution of assigned political tasks, achieving and exceeding the set resolution targets.

In the upcoming time, the district needs to review and accurately assess the targets that have been completed and surpassed compared to the congress resolution to continue enhancing them. For targets not yet achieved, specific, practical plans and solutions are needed to strive for completion in the remaining term. The district should focus on mobilising all resources to restructure agriculture towards sustainability, he said.
