A representative from the provincial National Assembly deputies quickly briefed voters on the outcomes of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly. This session reviewed and decided on personnel matters within its authority, and addressed issues related to the economy, society, and the state budget.
The session also passed 11 laws and 21 resolutions, provided initial comments on 11 other draft laws, conducted questioning and answers, and carried out supreme supervision of the implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 issued on January 11, 2022. This resolution pertains to fiscal and monetary policies supporting the socio-economic recovery and development program, as well as the National Assembly's resolutions on several important national projects through the end of 2023.
Voters in Điện Biên Đông District made several requests to the provincial National Assembly deputies. They asked Minister Thắng to invest in the transport infrastructure of the Pá Vạt - Háng Lìa - Tìa Dình route, upgrade National Highway 12 through Điện Biên Đông District and the entire extended National Highway 12, develop the Phì Nhừ - Xa Dung - Mường Lạn Road, and construct the Na Pa Khoang Reservoir in Luân Giói Commune.
Additionally, they requested that the Government promptly issue a decree regulating the preparation, management, and use of the recurrent expenditure budget for purchasing assets and equipment, as well as for renovating, upgrading, expanding, and building new items in already-invested projects to quickly resolve local obstacles.
At the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phạm Đức Toàn clarified several issues related to the policy mechanism for implementing community support projects. He explained that these projects would allow for the purchase of breeding animals, goods, and services directly produced by local people without applying the Law on Animal Husbandry and the Law on Veterinary Medicine.
Minister Thắng expressed his gratitude for the sentiments and trust the voters placed in the National Assembly deputies. He highly appreciated their dedicated, responsible, and constructive comments on political, economic, and social issues.
He emphasised that the voters’ contributions would assist the provincial NA deputies in making recommendations to the Government and relevant ministries and agencies for more effective implementation of mechanisms and policies for the people in the future. Minister Thắng hoped that voters would continue to provide many practical contributions, enabling the NA deputies to better fulfill their roles as representatives of the people.
He assured that the provincial NA deputies would collect and summarise the voters’ proposals and recommendations to report to the competent authorities and the National Assembly for consideration and resolution in the next session.
