Điện Biên Province delegation visits Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China

ĐBP – A delegation from Điện Biên Province, led by Trần Quốc Cường, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on December 27 departed for a visit to Pu'er City in Yunnan Province, China. The delegation includes provincial leaders, officials from Mường Nhé District, and representatives from various departments and agencies. The trip is scheduled to run from 27 to 30 December.

The visit aims to strengthen friendly relations and boost socio-economic cooperation between Điện Biên Province and Pu'er City. A key focus is exploring tourism collaboration, particularly plans to launch tourist flights connecting Điện Biên Phủ Airport with Simao Airport in China, seen as a crucial step in enhancing tourism links between the two regions.

The delegation will also discuss the trade of goods between Điện Biên and Pu'er through the A Pa Chải (Việt Nam) - Long Phú (China) Border Gate, which is expected to become a bilateral border gate in the future. Key products from Điện Biên, such as tea, coffee, macadamia nuts, cassava powder, and rubber, will be exported to Pu'er, contributing to local economic development.

Leaders of Pu'er City welcomed and held initial discussions with the Điện Biên delegation.

This visit marks an important step in strengthening the cooperative relationship and exchange between Điện Biên and Pu'er, paving the way for numerous development opportunities for both sides in the future.
