Điện Biên pays due attention to discharged soldiers

ĐBP - Supporting soldiers who have completed their military service and returned to their hometowns is a priority, always receives special attention to by the Party, State, and military. Hence, practical policies and measures help discharged soldiers stabilize their lives, create opportunities for promoting their competence, and enable continued contribution to their families and society.

In mid-January 2025, over 240 soldiers from Regiment 741 under the Điện Biên Provincial Military Command successfully completed their military duties. Before their discharge, the unit ensured that all policies for the soldiers were fully implemented. Through meetings and discussions, the regiment actively disseminated information about policies entitled to discharged soldiers, including one-time discharge allowances, job creation support, social insurance benefits, vocational training, and job placement assistance.

Tuần Giáo District welcomes non-commissioned officers and soldiers discharged in 2025.

Colonel Nguyễn Đình Thuận, Political Commissar of Regiment 741, shared: “We focus on career orientation and job counseling for soldiers completing military service. We ensure that all concerns are addressed through various channels, so every soldier understands their rights and benefits before returning to their hometowns. This process not only boosts their confidence when leaving the military but also motivates them to uphold the values of Uncle Hồ’s soldiers in their future endeavors.”

Enlisting in February 2023 and completing the military service in January 2025, Senior Sergeant Mạ Mó Chừ from Infantry Battalion 1, Regiment 741, returned to his hometown in Chung Chải Commune, Mường Nhé District. For Chừ, a Hà Nhì ethnic soldier, the two years in the military were an unforgettable experience. Despite the challenges, he always upheld the revolutionary spirit and traditions of local armed forces. Upon discharge, Chừ plans to pursue vocational training, saying: “With the discharge allowance, savings, and a vocational training card for soldiers, I have a good starting point. These achievements underscored the dedication, resilience, and determination of the soldiers during their task performance in the military.

In addition to implementing support policies, localities warmly welcomed discharged soldiers, creating a meaningful and emotional atmosphere. Recently, Tuần Giáo District received 97 discharged soldiers from Regiment 82 (Division 355, Military Region 2), Brigades 543 and 297 (Military Region 2), and Regiment 741. At the ceremony, district leaders encouraged discharged soldiers to continue exemplifying the spirit of Uncle Hồ’s soldiers in daily life.

Therefore, supporting discharged soldiers is not just about fulfilling military support policies but also significantly contributes to local development. With timely assistance, this group will become a high-quality workforce and play an active role in the nation’s on-going construction and defense cause in general.
