Điện Biên leaders pay tribute at martyrs’ cemeteries on Tết occasion

ĐBP - On the morning of January 24, on the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tết), a delegation of Điện Biên Province’s leaders, led by Mr. Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, laid wreaths and offered incense and flowers in tribute to at the Martyrs’ Temple at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield and martyrs’ cemeteries in Điện Biên Phủ City and Điện Biên District.

Joining the ceremony were other province’s leaders, including Mr. Lò Văn Phương, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Mrs. Giàng Thị Hoa, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; and Mr. Phạm Đức Toàn, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, among others.

The delegation pays tribute at the Martyrs’ Temple at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield.

At the Martyrs’ Temple at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield and National War Cemetery A1, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the province’s leaders offered incense and flowers and held a minute of silence to express deep gratitude for the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who bravely fought for the independence and freedom of the nation and the happiness of the people.

Following the memorial ceremony at the monument at the National War Cemetery A1, delegates offered incense at each grave of martyr - the outstanding sons and daughters of the nation resting at the cemetery.

Immediately after the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Thành Đô and the province’s delegation continued to lay wreaths and offer incense at the Độc Lập Martyrs’ Cemetery.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Lò Văn Phương visited and paid respects at the Tông Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phạm Đức Toàn visited the Him Lam Martyrs’ Cemetery.
