Delegation from Điện Biên Province Pays Respects to General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng

ĐBP – On the morning of July 26, a delegation from Điện Biên Province, led by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid respects to General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Trần Thánh Tông, Hà Nội. The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former provincial leaders, and representatives from various provincial departments and agencies.

Comrade Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee, led the delegation to pay respects to General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng at the National Funeral Hall on the morning of July 26.

The delegation from Điện Biên Province expressed their profound sorrow and immense grief over the passing of the General Secretary. They honored him as a distinguished leader, thinker, and cultural figure, a guiding force in Party theory, and an exceptional disciple of President Hồ Chí Minh who dedicated his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation. His passing is a tremendous loss for the entire Party, military, and people, leaving deep sorrow for citizens nationwide and international friends.

In deep mourning for General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, the delegates observed a minute of silence. The Party Committee, government, armed forces, and ethnic communities of Điện Biên Province express their deepest gratitude and eternal remembrance of General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng's significant contributions. He always showed special affection and concern for the leadership and development of ethnic minority areas, enhancing the material and spiritual lives of the people in Điện Biên and the Northwest provinces.

Điện Biên Province is committed to following the example set by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, fostering unity, effort, creativity, and the spirit of self-reliance and development aspiration. The province's leadership, government, and ethnic communities vow to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the 14th Provincial Party Congress, aiming to transform Điện Biên into a rapidly and sustainably developing province.

The delegation from Điện Biên Province observed a moment of silence in memory of General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

At the memorial ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee, and the ethnic communities of Điện Biên, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trần Quốc Cường solemnly wrote in the condolence book:

"The Party Committee, government, armed forces, and ethnic communities of Điện Biên Province are deeply saddened and mourn the loss of Comrade Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam.

We respectfully bow our heads in tribute to Comrade General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

We extend our deepest ondolences to his family."
