ĐBP - This morning (March 6), comrade Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, conducted a field inspection to assess the implementation progress of several key projects in Điện Biên Phủ city and Điện Biên district.

Recognizing its importance, in recent years, the Forest Protection and Development Fund of Điện Biên province has focused on carrying out effective supervision, especially regarding the management and use of FES funds by forest owners.

ĐBP - As one of the four socio-political organizations entrusted with capital by the Social Policy Bank (SPB) to provide loans to poor households and other policy beneficiaries, chapters of the Youth Union at all levels in Điện Biên province has promoted and facilitated access to preferential credit for its members to develop production, business, and entrepreneurship.

ĐBP - Currently, farmers in several communes of Điện Biên district, Điện Biên province are focusing on harvesting their sweet potato crop for the 2024-2025 winter-spring season. Joy is evident on their faces as this year’s harvest is not only abundant but also brings high prices.

ĐBP- Over two years after being recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune, Lay Nưa Commune in Mường Lay Town, Điện Biên Province has undergone significant transformation. The local Party committee, authorities and residents have worked tirelessly to develop their hometown, adhering to the motto “Building a new-style rural with a starting point, but no end point”.

ĐBP - The prolonged hot and dry weather, combined with the effects of the Lào winds, has put vast forested areas in Điện Biên Province under an extreme fire risk warning. Local authorities are now mobilizing all resources and preparing response plans with the highest level of vigilance to protect the forests.

ĐBP - Leveraging its favorable climate and soil conditions, Chà Nưa - a border commune in Nậm Pồ District, Điện Biên Province - has diversified its agricultural sector in recent years.

ĐBP - The Điện Biên Provincial Forest Protection Branch has issued a Level V wildfire warning - the highest risk level - for the entire province from February 17 to 23.

ĐBP - For the 2024-2025 winter-spring rice season, Điện Biên Province has, for the first time, piloted a smart, low-emission rice cultivation model linked to green growth promotion. Based on the project proposal and field surveys, the model has shown promising initial results.
