ĐBP - Alongside continued investment in transport infrastructure, the province has been focusing on developing public passenger transport by bus to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel costs, and protect the environment. However, the system remains small-scale and underdeveloped due to a lack of mechanisms and supportive policies for both businesses and residents. There is now an urgent need for incentives to encourage private participation, fare reductions, and the gradual establishment of a modern, well-connected bus network.

ĐBP - Coming to the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament with a spirit of exchange and learning, the Điện Biên Trade Union football team ended up writing one of the most inspiring and unforgettable stories of the Northern regional qualifiers.

ĐBP - Recognizing that legal dissemination and education are crucial political tasks, the Điện Biên provincial Border Guard Command has, in recent years, implemented numerous solutions and diversified communication methods to bring legal knowledge to people living along the border. These efforts have contributed significantly to maintaining political stability, social order, and safeguarding the nation’s territorial sovereignty.

ĐBP - In recent times, many localities across the province have worked closely with law-enforcement agencies to intensify public awareness campaigns, encouraging residents to voluntarily hand over weapons, explosives, and support tools (WES). These efforts aim to create “weapon-free areas,” ensuring community safety and peace. The determined involvement of authorities at all levels has helped prevent violations and protect the well-being of citizens.

ĐBP - The scent of fresh plaster still lingers inside a newly built resettlement house in Háng Pu Xi village, Xa Dung commune, Điện Biên province. On the wall, resident Mùa A Minh has already hung a framed portrait of President Hồ Chí Minh in the most honored spot, as a gesture of gratitude. His wife is busy sweeping and arranging belongings, preparing to move into their new home.

ĐBP - Điện Biên province currently has more than 60,000 elderly people, a vulnerable group due to weakened immune systems and the prevalence of chronic diseases.

ĐBP - According to data from the Điện Biên Statistics Office, from November 15, 2024, to July 14, 2025, the province recorded 14 fire incidents, a 75% increase compared to the same period last year, with total property damage estimated at over VND 2.5 billion (up 76.14%). On average, Điện Biên has experienced two fires per month in the first eight months of 2025. The main causes were identified as carelessness in using open flames and electrical equipment malfunctions.

In the 2025- 2026 school year, a new policy provides central and provincial budget support covering 70% of premiums, offering students broader access to health insurance and ensuring better health care.
