Through diverse solutions connecting labor supply and demand, stepping up job counseling and placement, offering vocational training, and expanding partnerships with enterprises, Điện Biên is generating more opportunities for workers to access suitable jobs, stabilize their incomes, and steadily improve their living standards.
The provincial Employment and National Contributors Center has become a reliable destination for workers to seek recruitment information, register for job counseling, and take part in employment exchange sessions. Here, with dedicated guidance and advice from the center’s staff, laborers receive information regarding recruitment demands from businesses inside and outside the province, income levels, working conditions, and related policies and welfare regimes. Based on the provided information, laborers gain stronger foundations to select jobs aligned with their qualifications, capabilities, and aspirations.
During the first 9 months of the year, the center collected recruitment data from 490 company and enterprise visits, totaling 27,195 recruitment announcements domestically and abroad. Simultaneously, it published over 3,000 news articles and informational posts covering domestic employment, labor export, unemployment insurance, and legal normative documents.
Nguyễn Quốc Toàn, Head of the Employment Division at the provincial Employment and National Contributors Center, shared that the center maintains the effective operation of in-person and online job exchange sessions, accelerates the application of digital technology, and enhances communication across social networking platforms, thereby broadening public access to job openings. Concurrently, the center coordinates with enterprises within and beyond the province to recruit personnel, generating diverse job opportunities across different sectors and income brackets.
Communication, job counseling, and placement activities are conducted regularly across varied formats, helping laborers promptly grasp developments in the labor market, recruitment demands, job sectors, wage levels, and working conditions. As a result, workers have more grounds to choose employment suited to their skills, competence, and goals, while strengthening connections between workers and businesses. Over the first 9 months of the year, the provincial Employment and National Contributors Center organized communication, counseling, and job introduction drives for 14,546 laborer attendances.
Through supply-demand matching activities, the provincial Employment and National Contributors Center connected and introduced 1,776 laborers to units and businesses inside and outside the province for recruitment interviews. Among them, 1,596 laborers were hired to work at domestic enterprises. Regarding overseas labor markets, 7 workers departed for South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) program.
Alongside consultation and job referrals, the center organized 3 job fairs for 1,380 attendances across Mường Nhé, Sín Chải, and Điện Biên Phủ communes and wards; 39 employment conferences across communes and wards for 3,308 attendances; 35 mobile employment transaction sessions for 2,150 attendances; 76 weekly online job transaction sessions; 26 job exchange sessions on the national employment exchange platform (pilot version); and 29 counseling and job referral sessions for 1,337 attendances across hamlets and villages province-wide.
Mai Vĩnh Tiến, residing in Tà Lèng village, Điện Biên Phủ ward, shared: “Through the job fair, I had the opportunity to learn about recruitment information from numerous businesses, ranging from job categories and income levels to working conditions. With the counseling provided, I clearly understand the requirements of each position and have more options suited to my capabilities and aspirations.”
The provincial Employment and National Contributors Center collaborated with the Branch of Thái Nguyên University in Điện Biên province to organize career orientation and counseling sessions and guide students in utilizing the national employment exchange platform. Through this, career guidance for learners is intensified, supporting connections between students and job opportunities inside and outside the province, as well as labor export to resolve employment needs step by step. Guiding learners to access the national employment platform ensures they reach transparent, dependable employment information and assists them in seeking jobs matching their capabilities, fields of study, and personal preferences.
Nông Huy Thiêm, an official at the provincial Employment and National Contributors Center, shared: “The counseling sessions provided information regarding recruitment, job introduction, job-seeking skills, employment regimes and policies, alongside criteria for selection, working conditions, living arrangements, and laborers’ income, helping learners grasp recruitment demands and employment trends suited to their majors.”
Expanding job opportunities not only creates additional livelihoods but also opens sustainable pathways for laborers to elevate their earnings and stabilize their lives. Continuously accelerating supply-demand linkages, improving the quality of counseling and vocational training, applying digital technology, and broadening cooperation with enterprises enable Điện Biên’s labor market to operate with greater efficiency. As job opportunities expand, workers have more choices and enterprises secure appropriate human resources, establishing a solid foundation to spur socio-economic development and ensure social welfare across the province.
