Immediately after the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress of Nà Tấu commune for the 2025 - 2030 term was issued, the spirit of “from resolution to action” was quickly concretized through clear and practical tasks. With a focus on exploiting the potential of land, landscapes, and the cultural identity of ethnic groups to form models of community tourism and eco-tourism associated with high-tech and environment-friendly agricultural production, Nà Tấu commune has promoted propaganda and mobilized people to participate in protecting the Nặm Cứm ancient ban flower forest.

In preparation for the ban flower festival expected to take place in early spring 2026, a working group from Nà Tấu commune directly inspected the field at Nặm Cứm hamlet during the middle of January. In previous flower seasons, this place left beautiful impressions on tourists and became a location that attracted great interest from visitors and the online community. To promote that advantage, during the inspection, the commune leadership carefully reviewed items serving the festival such as transport roads, reception areas, display spaces, and the work of ensuring security, order, and environmental sanitation. At the same time, they required mass organizations to coordinate closely with the hamlet management board and support people in promoting tourism and culinary products while preparing conditions for accommodation and logistics to create a good impression for tourists.

Nguyễn Tiến Tuấn, who serves as the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nà Tấu commune Party Committee, emphasized that tourism development must be realized through specific and practical actions. The thoughtful preparation for the ban flower festival aims to serve the cultural and tourism events of the province well, thereby creating an important step in introducing the image of Nà Tấu and promoting the traditional culture of ethnic groups. This gradually brings the resolution of the commune Party Committee into life and creates a foundation for sustainable tourism development in the coming period.

With a long-term vision that closely follows practical development requirements, the Resolution of the Party Congress of Điện Biên Phủ ward for the 2025 - 2030 term has clearly identified tourism development as a spearhead economic sector that creates a driving force for local socio-economic growth. On that basis, the Congress proposed breakthrough tasks that emphasize diversifying tourism products and developing resort, sports, and entertainment tourism associated with improving service quality. The plan also includes building smart tourism and a night economy to gradually affirm the central role of the Điện Biên Phủ urban area. To concretize the resolution with practical actions, the ward Party Committee organized the announcement and opening of the Phiêng Lơi hamlet community tourism site to open a new development direction for community tourism in the area.

Toward tourism development associated with promoting ethnic cultural identity, Phiêng Lơi hamlet has recently focused on investing in attractive experience spaces where tourists can learn about the lives, customs, and typical cuisine of the Thái people. This contributes to the preservation and spread of traditional cultural values. Immediately after the initial results, the ward continues to complete the tourism infrastructure at Kê Nênh hamlet and put the Điện Biên Phủ night economy walking street and culinary area into operation. This gradually realizes the resolution through specific actions and contributes to the formation of a unique cultural, ecological, and historical tourism axis for the central urban area.

The Resolution of the 15th provincial Party Congress of Điện Biên for the 2025 - 2030 term has established a clear development vision with the goal of developing Điện Biên toward a green, smart, and sustainable economy to become the tourism center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains by 2030. In the major orientation, tourism development is identified as a spearhead economic sector that has a leading role and creates a spillover effect for other fields. The province focuses on innovating existing tourism products in the direction of improving quality and competitiveness while developing main tourism products based on three pillars of historical-spiritual tourism, tourism associated with the cultural identity of 19 ethnic groups, and nature discovery, resort, entertainment, healthcare, and community tourism.

In addition to developing diversified products, Điện Biên is promoting investment attraction with a focus on the development of the Điện Biên Phủ - Pá Khoang national tourism area, which is considered the nucleus that creates a highlight and attraction for tourism in the entire province. Strengthening the connection between tourism and culture, sports, cuisine, and agricultural production is determined as a sustainable direction that contributes to increasing added value and creating livelihoods for local people.

To bring the resolution into life, the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee issued Decision No.346-QĐ/TU in December 2025 to establish the provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development of Điện Biên. This is an important step aimed at strengthening unified leadership and direction in implementing tourism development policies and solutions.

From the right policies and resolutions to specific, drastic, and synchronous actions, Điện Biên is gradually affirming its correct path in tourism development. When the entire political system gets involved, tourism potential and advantages are effectively exploited to become a spearhead economic sector that spreads the image of Điện Biên to domestic and international friends.
