ĐBP — On September 17, the Party Inspection Committee and Inspectorate from three provinces of Laos paid a courtesy visit to the Standing Committee of the Điện Biên Provincial Party. ĐBP – For the ethnic communities of the Northwest, particularly the 19 ethnic groups in Điện Biên Province, Independence Day on September 2nd is often affectionately referred to as Tết Độc lập — the "Tết of Independence." Similar to the traditional Tết holiday that marks the first days of the Lunar New Year, Tết Độc lập symbolises the first days of the country’s independence.

This assessment was delivered during a meeting of the Steering Committee for the relocation of provincial agencies to the new political and administrative centre, held on Friday morning in Điện Biên Province. ĐBP – Vice Chairman of the Điện Biên Provincial People's Committee Lò Văn Tiến requested that the Steering Committee for the provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities continue to work closely with the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs to ensure thorough preparation for the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024. Tiến, who is also head of the Steering Committee, made this request while presiding over a meeting to review and implement the congress preparations on Tuesday.

On the afternoon of August 23, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference with key provincial cadres, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee to carry out the process of nominating personnel for the additional election of members to the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
