ĐBP - No longer just numbers and dates in textbooks, in many schools across Điện Biên province, history lessons are being retold in unique and creative ways, from technological connections to vivid experiences, and through the very passion of the students themselves.

ĐBP - The year of 2026 is the first year of implementing the selection and calling of citizens for enlistment under the two-level local government model. With tasks from the district level being transferred to the commune level and partly to the provincial level, the selection and calling of citizens for enlistment will therefore have many new aspects.

ĐBP - Following directives from the Ministry of Public Security to strengthen alcohol checks and enforce laws on the prevention of alcohol-related harm, traffic safety, and the Government’s Decree 168, as well as to reduce traffic accidents linked to alcohol, the Điện Biên provincial Police launched a province-wide alcohol control campaign on October 18, 2025.

ĐBP - In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Điện Biên province have actively communicated and mobilized, improved the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and implemented democracy. They have also coordinated the organization of voter meetings and gathered public opinion. Through these efforts, the Fatherland Front has promoted its role in participating in the building of a clean and strong Party and government, creating consensus among the people.

ĐBP - From around October, as the dry season begins, on the hillside fields, with large and small back baskets filled to the brim, the people of Tìa Dình begin their winter melon harvest season.

ĐBP - In recent years, highland and border villages across Điện Biên province have taken on a new look. Concrete roads now wind through mountain slopes, newly-built houses (with sturdy foundations, walls, and roofs) stand firm, and lush coffee and macadamia plantations stretch across the hillsides. These vivid signs of renewal reflect the strong impact of provincial Party Committee’s Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU, issued on December 10, 2021, on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, linked with the goal of sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021 - 2025 period, with a vision to 2030.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of October 21, the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee held a conference to announce and present the Decisions on the secondment of civil servants and public employees to work at the People’s Committees of communes and wards in the province.

ĐBP - Along with the rest of the country, from July 1, 2025, Điện Biên province completed the implementation of the two-level local government model, consolidating communes and towns to streamline the apparatus and improve management effectiveness and efficiency.

ĐBP - In recent times, all levels of the Điện Biên provincial Women’s Union have been strongly promoting their core role in gathering and mobilizing women to participate in emulation movements.
