Điện Biên establishes Land Fund Development Center

ĐBP - On April 9, the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision regarding the organizational structure and personnel for the provincial Land Fund Development Center. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Văn Lương attended and presented the official decisions.

The provincial Land Fund Development Center was established through the reorganization of the Land Fund Development Center formerly under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, along with five Regional Project Management and Land Fund Development Boards.

This new entity is a public service unit directly under the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee, possessing its own legal status and seal. Its internal structure consists of two professional departments and four subordinate branches.

During the conference, Decision No.729/QĐ-UBND was announced, detailing the mobilization and appointment of Trần Quốc Long, Deputy Director of the Area 1 Project Management and Land Fund Development Board, as the Deputy Director of the provincial Land Fund Development Center. His new five-year term officially commenced on April 8, 2026.

To ensure operational continuity, the provincial People’s Committee directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to lead the handover of all ongoing land clearance and land fund development projects to the new center.

The Departments of Home Affairs and Finance are responsible for coordinating the transfer of personnel, assets, and finances in accordance with legal regulations. Following this organizational consolidation, the center will finalize its functional regulations and job position schemes to submit to the provincial People’s Committee for final review and approval.
