The family of Lường Văn Thành, residing in Phăng 2 village, Mường Phăng commune, is one of the typical outstanding farmer households. In 2020, through production support capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies entrusted via the commune Farmers’ Association, Lường Văn Thành borrowed VND 100 million to invest in developing the family economy. Along with accumulated capital, he boldly expanded the production model toward combining agriculture with experiential tourism. On an area of about 3,000m² of family land, Lường Văn Thành invested in constructing a homestay accommodation area, planting strawberries and black summer grapes. Instead of producing through traditional methods, he selected a new direction of developing agricultural tourism, where visitors can enjoy both a holiday and the opportunity to visit and experience harvesting agricultural products right in the garden.
Following many years of investment and development, the model of Lường Văn Thành’s family has become a destination drawing a large number of tourists from both inside and outside the province. The grape trellises and strawberry beds laden with fruit bring a significant income from agricultural products, while concurrently generating extra revenue from accommodation, dining, and experiential services. From a purely agricultural household, Lường Văn Thành’s family has built a stable economic development direction, step-by-step upgrading their quality of life.

Concurrently, the association is deploying loans from the Farmer Support Fund for 74 production development projects. This capital source has created conditions for many members to boldly invest in expanding production scales, shifting crop and livestock structures, and building economic models suited to the actual conditions of each locality.
Notably, entrustment activities with the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies continue to promote their efficiency. As of May 19, 2026, the total outstanding debt managed by the provincial Farmers’ Association organization reached over VND 1,565 billion, with 20,553 borrowing households through 597 savings and credit groups.
