Tủa Chùa celebrates Mông panpipe and traditional costumes at Culture, Sports and Tourism Week

ĐBP – The Mông panpipe performance and traditional costume show took place at the Tủa Chùa District Convention Centre in the northern mountainous province of Điện Biên on Thursday. This event was part of the 2024 Tủa Chùa District’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Week.

The Mông panpipe competition featured 39 artisans from 12 communes and towns in the district. They performed in individual, duo, and group categories. The performances highlighted the everyday life and cultural rituals of the Mông ethnic group. Each performance received enthusiastic applause and support from the audience.

The traditional costume show, themed ‘Colors of Culture, Pathway to Tourism’, sent a profound message about linking the district's culture to tourism. The event attracted 80 contestants from 11 communes, towns, and 2 local schools. Contestants showcased costumes in individual, duo, and group formats.

The competition provided a platform for contestants to display their talents and celebrate the unique cultural values of Tủa Chùa's ethnic communities. It also contributed to promoting, preserving, and developing traditional culture in connection with sustainable tourism development in the region./.
