Especially, as the night falls, with the public lighting system and the emergence of new constructions illuminating the young city in the far west...

Through investment in the construction of many works, including both the public lighting system and urban infrastructure, the nighttime appearance of the uplands town Điện Biên Phủ has undergone substantial changes. Just take a stroll around the city at night, and one can easily notice that the urban roads are all brightly illuminated. Along the major roads, almost all are lit with modern LED lamps, along with decorative lighting systems creating a lively night scene for the highlands city Điện Biên Phủ. Like the "mountain beauty" awakening from the long slumber, the urban nightlife is gradually becoming more vibrant than ever before, creating many tourism products to serve the people and tourists when visiting Điện Biên.

According to the Urban Affairs Management Department of Điện Biên Phủ City, the lighting system has a total length of about 60km with 3,000 lighting fixtures. In addition, the total number of decorative lights along the roads in the city is 68 locations on various routes, such as: Võ Nguyên Giáp Street with 38 locations; Trường Chinh and Hoàng Văn Thái with 15 locations; the road from bridge A1-C4 with 15 locations...

Điện Biên Phủ City is still continuing to adorn the urban area in preparation the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory, with projects to repair and renovate the decorative lighting system, lighting for Nguyễn Hữu Thọ and Võ Nguyên GIáp streets. This project will replace 30 light poles and 29 decorative lighting fixtures interspersed between the two lighting columns on the median strip section from the junction of the old bus station to the entrance of Điện Biên Airport; repairing, upgrading decorative lights along the Võ Nguyên Giáp Street…
