ĐBP - On the afternoon of 23rd October, a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, led by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid a visit to Mường Nhé Border Guard Station and Mường Nhé District’s Upper Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. The delegation included Lò Văn Phương, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, as well as Mùa A Vảng, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

During his visit to the officers and soldiers at Mường Nhé Border Guard Station, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Trần Quốc Cường, was briefed by the station’s Command on the overall situation and the results of the station's border defence operations in 2024. Since the beginning of the year, Mường Nhé Border Guard Station has proactively monitored external and border situations, swiftly identifying, reporting, advising on, and resolving any incidents along the border.

The station has strictly upheld its readiness for combat and ensured the safety of national holidays, Tết, and other key national and provincial events. Additionally, it has effectively taken the lead in maintaining security and order, ensuring that incidents are handled in line with regulations, preventing any escalation into serious or complex issues along the border. Since the start of the year, the station has spearheaded and coordinated the arrest of seven cases involving seven individuals involved in illegal drug trafficking.

At Mường Nhé Border Guard Station, the leadership of the Provincial Border Guard Command provided a brief update to the delegation on the progress of the A Pa Chải Flagpole Construction Project in Sín Thầu Commune, Mường Nhé District.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Trần Quốc Cường, commended the station's recent border defence efforts. He urged the officers and soldiers to build on their successes by continuing to promote a peaceful, cooperative, and developing border area based on strong friendships. He stressed the importance of staying closely connected to the local people, understanding their concerns and needs, and addressing their legitimate demands. Additionally, he emphasised the importance of effectively resolving any incidents in the border region and called for intensified efforts in the fight against crime, particularly drug trafficking.

Concerning the A Pa Chải Flagpole Construction Project, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Trần Quốc Cường, called on relevant authorities, departments, and units to strengthen coordination, address any challenges, and expedite the project's progress.

At Mường Nhé District’s Upper Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Cường expressed his warm regards to the teachers and students, offering words of encouragement while commending the school for its achievements during the 2023-2024 academic year. He congratulated the students who had excelled in their exams, with many gaining admission to prestigious universities. The Secretary urged both teachers and students to strive for even greater success in the 2024-2025 academic year. Additionally, he called on provincial departments, particularly the Department of Education and Training and Mường Nhé District, to continue supporting the school by investing in its infrastructure, providing learning materials, and ensuring adequate living and working conditions for both teachers and students.

On 24th October, Cường and the delegation held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Mường Nhé District Party to review the implementation of political tasks since the start of the 2020-2025 term and to outline key priorities and directions for the period ahead.
