Điện Biên Military Command works with Luang Prabang partner

ĐBP — On June 13, the Điện Biên Military Command held a working session to exchange information about military and defense tasks with the Military Command of Luang Prabang Province in Laos. The Điện Biên delegation was led by Colonel Lê Văn Sơn, a Member of the provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the provincial Military Command.

An overview of the conference.

At the conference, both sides agreed that they have regularly exchanged documents and protocols on foreign affairs cooperation between the two Parties, States, and armies in recent times. They have strengthened close cooperation between forces and localities on both sides of the border to effectively implement border regulations.

Both sides have maintained the special friendship and solidarity between Việt Nam and Laos, fostering a border of peace for development. Notably, the provincial Military Command worked closely with Điện Biên authorities to successfully organise the 70th Anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory at the national level.

Looking ahead, both sides will continue to coordinate and share experiences in building local political bases, promoting production, and improving soldiers' lives. They will organise cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities, enforce border regulations thoughtfully, and preserve the special friendly relationship and fraternal solidarity between Việt Nam and Laos.

An additional important task is to build a common border of peace, friendship, and development.

The Điện Biên Military Command has respectfully invited the Luang Prabang Military Command to visit and participate in a periodic meeting in Điện Biên Province this September.
