This activity is part of a series of events commemorating the 77th anniversary of Vietnamese War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).
At General Võ Nguyên Giáp's grave, Deputy Chairman Bằng and the delegation laid wreaths, offered incense, and observed a moment of silence to honour the first Commander-in-Chief of the Việt Nam People's Army.
The delegation also expressed deep gratitude for General Giáp's immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the nation and the historic Victory at Điện Biên Phủ, which resonated worldwide.
On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Điện Biên Province, Bằng and the delegation pledged to uphold their roles and responsibilities, unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and strive to develop Điện Biên Province in a rapid and sustainable manner.
Also on the same day, Điện Biên delegation offered incense and laid wreaths to commemorate martyrs at the National Memorial for Volunteer Youth, the graves of the ten heroic female martyrs at the Đồng Lộc T-junction, and the victory monument of the Đồng Lộc T-junction historical site.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation expressed profound gratitude for the immense sacrifices of the heroic martyrs in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.
The delegation vowed to continue the heroic and resilient tradition of previous generations, actively participating in building and protecting the homeland and the country, making them increasingly prosperous and beautiful.
