Through various policy-based credit programs, thousands of poor and near-poor households, along with other vulnerable groups, have gained access to capital to launch production, create jobs, and improve their income.

To resolve these issues, departments in Điện Biên province, in cooperation with the provincial Business Association, have been actively working together to find solutions to stabilize production and promote growth.

ĐBP - The activity of hunting, transporting, and trading endangered wildlife is becoming increasingly complicated with many sophisticated methods used by criminal offenders. This not only causes significant harm to biodiversity but also poses a threat to the balance of ecosystems.

ĐBP - In recent years, the protection of forests in Mường Nhé district, Điện Biên province has seen positive changes thanks to the mobilization of community power. The local authorities and functional forces have proactively involved all levels of the population in forest protection and development, contributing to the preservation of natural resources and sustainable development.

ĐBP - The two villages of Ham Xoong 1 and Ham Xoong 2 in Vàng Đán commune, Mường Chà district, Điện Biên province are renowned for having the best plums in the area. Right now, Ham Xoong is in the peak of plum season. The plum orchards stretch along the hillsides, with large, ripe, and sweet plums that still maintain their crispness, drawing in anyone who visits.

ĐBP - Along the Đà River, Huổi Só commune in Tủa Chùa district is blessed with breathtaking natural landscapes. With a large area of water surface and favorable climate, the people of Huổi Só are taking advantage of these conditions to develop aquaculture in the Đà River reservoir, boosting the local economy and helping to reduce poverty.

ĐBP - By promoting the application of scientific and technological advances in production and processing, farmers in Tuần Giáo district, Điện Biên province are gradually increasing the productivity, quality, and value of agricultural products, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction in the area.

ĐBP - In recent years, agricultural production in Điện Biên province has been increasingly impacted by climate change. Prolonged droughts, cold spells, and frost have damaged many crops, leading to reduced yields and quality of agricultural products. In response to this, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment has proactively implemented a range of measures to effectively combat climate change.

ĐBP - After more than three years of implementing the National Target Program on New-style Rural Development (NRD) for the 2022 - 2025 period, according to Plan No.1986/KH-UBND issued by the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee, initial positive changes have been observed. However, the overall progress remains slow, with many key goals yet to be achieved. In addition to the low starting point and limited resources, some localities show complacency or a lack of effort to strive for the NRD standards.

ĐBP - In recent years, aquaculture has emerged as a key economic driver in Điện Biên province, offering high income potential for local residents. Given that fish farming here largely depends on natural water bodies such as lakes and ponds, ensuring safety during the storm season is of utmost importance. As the rainy season approaches, local fish farmers have proactively implemented protective measures to minimize potential losses from natural disasters.

ĐBP - Unlike previous years, the rice harvest in Mường Pồn commune (Điện Biên district, Điện Biên province) this year has been carried out with more urgency and excitement. The rice stalks, heavy with grain, bear the sweat and labor of the farmers. The air is filled with the fragrance of newly harvested rice, and after the devastation of a flash flood, prosperity has returned to the people here.

ĐBP - Circular economy in agriculture is a closed-loop production model where waste is not discarded but reused as input material, helping reduce pollution, protect the environment, and improve public health. Điện Biên province has identified the development of a circular agricultural economy as a core pillar in its sustainable farming strategy, closely tied to science, technology, and innovation.

In recent years, the provincial government has rolled out a comprehensive set of measures aimed at improving the investment climate, creating favorable conditions for private sector development, driving economic growth, improving living standards, and unlocking the province’s inherent strengths.
