As household living standards improve, they continue to share experience and assist fellow villagers in adopting similar methods, contributing to building increasingly prosperous hamlets.

In Trên Nương village, Nà Bủng commune, Mùa Chớ Sùng is widely known for his industriousness and determination to rise above poverty. Starting from an economically vulnerable background, he progressively built a livestock breeding model tailored to his family’s capacities. His farm currently maintains nearly 50 head of buffaloes and cattle. Rather than selling off entire herds after small-scale breeding, he retains superior breeding stock to expand herds, combining the sale of mature animals with the selective purchase of suitable replacement livestock.

Beyond livestock farming, capitalizing on expansive land areas, Sùng planted diverse fruit trees, including mango, jackfruit, and pomelo, to broaden revenue streams. Currently, his family farm provides seasonal employment for roughly 10 to 15 local laborers in the village, offering wages of approximately VND 4 million to VND 5 million per person per month. After deducting operational costs, his household clears over VND 200 million annually.

In Lỳ Mạ Tá village, Sín Thầu commune, the family of Chảo Khò Tư formerly relied strictly on rudimentary practices, yielding volatile earnings. Unwilling to succumb to hardship, he systematically explored viable business avenues, accumulating practical experience while expanding production scales. To date, his family maintains nearly 40 buffaloes and cattle, roughly 30 goats, over 10 breeding sows, and hundreds of poultry birds. He also operates a grocery retail shop serving the daily shopping needs of local residents. By combining multiple business models, his family generates annual earnings exceeding VND 100 million. With family finances stabilized, Tư shares agricultural techniques and livestock management practices with villagers, working collectively to identify suitable economic paths.

Chảo Khò Tư shared that as an influential and respected figure in the village, he always reminds himself to set an exemplary standard in daily conduct and labor diligently for neighbors to follow. Having been born and raised locally, he understands the community’s hardships, inspiring him to share experiences and methods once his household achieved stability. Seeing tangible success encourages villagers to emulate effective practices, develop household economies collaboratively, and steadily improve community life.

Chảo Khò Tư’s exemplary conduct serves as a conduit to preserve the confidence villagers place in him. Over many years, he has actively coordinated with grassroots-level Party committees and local administrations to disseminate Party guidelines and State policies and laws, mobilizing villagers to eradicate backward customs and safeguard traditional culture. Whenever communal discords arise, he converses with opposing parties, analyzes right and wrong, and helps resolve friction, preserving harmony within the community.

In Mường Toong commune, Vừ Bả Dế, Head of Huổi Lanh village, is also progressively establishing family prosperity through diligence and hard work. Currently, he maintains a commercial flock of approximately 500 indigenous black chickens. Through this production model, he secures supplemental income, steadily elevating his living standards. Crucially, as a Party member and village head, he understands the imperative of setting an example through concrete daily actions.

Vừ Bả Dế stated that Huổi Lanh village comprises nearly 120 households with over 700 residents, keeping the poverty rate below 10%. In his capacity as a Party member and hamlet leader, he resolves to continue self-tempering, leading by example in shared undertakings, and joining fellow Party members to mobilize villagers to stay united, focus on production, help one another develop economically, strive to reduce remaining poor households, and build an increasingly well-appointed, clean, and beautiful village.

From once-struggling families, a spirit of self-reliance is steadily rippling across highland rural communities. While each individual adopts distinct approaches and each household charts an independent path, they share a refusal to remain content with destitution, taking active steps to expand production and heighten income. Effective operational models serve as practical venues for villagers to learn, exchange experiences, and transform outdated habits of thought and action.

Lù Văn Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Union, affirmed that the striving determination of individual households improves living standards while invigorating mass movements of farmers competing in excellent production and business. From efficient economic models, residents gain practical expertise, boldly modernize their methods, and generate widespread impacts, emerging as core nuclei for the community to emulate and rise together.

By stepping up mass mobilization, transferring scientific and technological advancements, and establishing and replicating effective economic models, the campaign “Farmers Competing in Excellent Production and Business, Uniting to Help Each Other Attain Prosperity and Sustainable Poverty Reduction” has attracted broad participation from union members and farmers. To date, the entire province counts over 3,500 households recognized as outstanding producers and entrepreneurs across all tiers in animal husbandry, crop cultivation, retail services, and integrated farming.
