ĐBP - Ensuring access to drinking water for people in mountainous, highland, and border areas is a key concern of the Party and the State. Numerous programs and projects have been implemented to provide water for people in remote areas, yet many still lack access to clean water.

ĐBP - Acting as a bridge between the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) and residents, Mường Ảng district (Điện Biên province)’s savings and loan teams (SLTs) serve as a vital channel for capital allocation, helping individuals access funds and utilize them effectively. Through these teams, social policy credit has been successfully brought into play, ensuring the quality of State-funded credit programs within the district.

ĐBP - Since the end of 2024, functional agencies and local authorities have identified eight deforestation cases in Pá Chả village, Mường Pồn commune (Điện Biên district, Điện Biên province), with a total encroached area exceeding 2 hectares of protected forest.

Recognizing its importance, in recent years, the Forest Protection and Development Fund of Điện Biên province has focused on carrying out effective supervision, especially regarding the management and use of FES funds by forest owners.

ĐBP - As one of the four socio-political organizations entrusted with capital by the Social Policy Bank (SPB) to provide loans to poor households and other policy beneficiaries, chapters of the Youth Union at all levels in Điện Biên province has promoted and facilitated access to preferential credit for its members to develop production, business, and entrepreneurship.

ĐBP - Currently, farmers in several communes of Điện Biên district, Điện Biên province are focusing on harvesting their sweet potato crop for the 2024-2025 winter-spring season. Joy is evident on their faces as this year’s harvest is not only abundant but also brings high prices.

ĐBP- Over two years after being recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune, Lay Nưa Commune in Mường Lay Town, Điện Biên Province has undergone significant transformation. The local Party committee, authorities and residents have worked tirelessly to develop their hometown, adhering to the motto “Building a new-style rural with a starting point, but no end point”.

ĐBP - The prolonged hot and dry weather, combined with the effects of the Lào winds, has put vast forested areas in Điện Biên Province under an extreme fire risk warning. Local authorities are now mobilizing all resources and preparing response plans with the highest level of vigilance to protect the forests.

ĐBP - Leveraging its favorable climate and soil conditions, Chà Nưa - a border commune in Nậm Pồ District, Điện Biên Province - has diversified its agricultural sector in recent years.

ĐBP - The Điện Biên Provincial Forest Protection Branch has issued a Level V wildfire warning - the highest risk level - for the entire province from February 17 to 23.

ĐBP - For the 2024-2025 winter-spring rice season, Điện Biên Province has, for the first time, piloted a smart, low-emission rice cultivation model linked to green growth promotion. Based on the project proposal and field surveys, the model has shown promising initial results.

Vegetables, tubers, and fruits in harvest season are either unsold or sold at prices lower than production costs, causing many households to face difficulties.
