Under the theme “Ensuring social welfare, empowering women and girls, and creating opportunities to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence”, the campaign highlights the district's dedication to promoting equality and eradicating gender-based violence.

The initiative is part of the project “Promoting gender equality and addressing urgent issues for women and children”, under the National Target Programme on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Regions for 2021–2030, with a focus on the years 2021–2025.

As the first in a series of awareness-raising activities, the campaign aims to rally support from government agencies, organisations, families, and individuals in combating gender discrimination and violence. It also seeks to create equal opportunities for women and girls, empowering them to succeed in all aspects of life.

This effort aligns with the broader objectives of Việt Nam’s National Strategy on Gender Equality, the Law on Gender Equality, and the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, contributing to the foundation of a more inclusive and equitable society.
