ĐBP - Every March, the land and sky of Điện Biên province don their pristine white attire of ban (bauhinia) flowers.

As such, those who are captivated by beauty, when visiting the far-western land during this season, will immerse themselves in a space overflowing with the pure white hue and delicate fragrance of ban flowers, feeling the untouched, majestic beauty of the Northwestern mountains and forests.

During this time, the white of ban flowers blooms everywhere in Điện Biên. One does not need to travel far, even within Điện Biên Phủ city, visitors can admire the beauty of ban flowers. Streets lined with ban trees, such as along National Highway 279 through Thanh Minh commune, the canal banks of Him Lam, the stretch of National Highway 12, and the De-Castries Tunnel near Mường Thanh Bridge, are transformed into picturesque, romantic scenes under the blooming white flowers.

“For those looking for the perfect spot for photos, the stretch of National Highway 279, through Thanh Minh Commune, offers stunning ban trees. Although the trees are tall, you can still enjoy the view and take many beautiful and impressive photos. Another striking spot is along the canal banks of Him Lam, where a long row of ban trees blooms brilliantly, drawing many young people to admire the flowers and take photos,” he added.

This forest is home to over 1,200 ancient ban trees, creating a dreamy landscape. When the flowers bloom, the entire forest is illuminated in a soft, radiant white, resembling a delicate yet captivating natural painting. Especially on March 8th, Mường Ảng district hosts a ban flower festival in Nậm Cứm village, promising unforgettable experiences amidst the majestic and poetic atmosphere of the mountains.
