Traditional Cockscomb Flower Festival of Cống ethnic group held in Nậm Kè

ĐBP - On the afternoon of November 5, Nậm Kè commune organized the traditional Cockscomb Flower Festival of the Cống ethnic group in Nậm Kè village.

The Cockscomb Flower Festival is the ancient traditional Lunar New Year (Tết) ceremony of the Cống people. The rituals that take place during the Flower Festival, in addition to their sacred spiritual elements, also include the participation of folk performing arts. The festival draws the community towards their ancestral roots and expresses gratitude to the spirits and the local land gods of their place of residence.
