Bun Huột Nặm, the traditional festival of the Lào ethnic minority group, is not only a time of celebration but also a spiritual occasion to pray for favorable weather, abundant harvests, and prosperity. It marks a symbolic cleansing of the previous year’s misfortunes and the welcoming of luck and blessings for individuals, families, and the wider community. The festival also provides an opportunity for residents to showcase folk games, traditional dances, and especially, the iconic water-splashing ritual of the Lào people.

In addition, the festival includes exhibitions promoting local cultural and tourism products, traditional handicrafts, ethnic cuisine, agricultural goods, and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items.
