Điện Biên holds groundbreaking ceremony for Mường Ảng Spiritual Cultural Area project

ĐBP - On the morning of November 27, in Mường Ảng commune, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Điện Biên province, in coordination with the Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee of Mường Ảng commune, organized the groundbreaking of the Mường Ảng Spiritual Cultural Area project.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were: Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee; Trần Tiến Dũng, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vừ A Bằng, Member of the provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Vice President and Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Điện Biên province; and representatives of the leadership of several provincial departments, boards, and branches.

The Mường Ảng Spiritual Cultural Area project is implemented on an area of over 14.46ha with a total investment of over VND 100 billion through social mobilization, with the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Điện Biên province serving as the investor. The project includes the following items: Three-arched gate, bell tower, Linh An Tu, ceremony preparation house - reception house, tower cluster, 27m long Reclining Buddha statue, meditation hall system, ethnic culture exhibition area, characteristic product kiosks, and parking lot... Upon completion, the Mường Ảng Spiritual Cultural Area will become a unique destination, harmoniously combining traditional cultural and religious values with a modern experiential space.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vừ A Bằng, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee emphasized: The project has important significance in preserving and promoting national cultural identity, creating additional distinctive tourism products, expanding the cultural-spiritual tourism development chain, and elevating the image of Điện Biên on the national tourism map. This is a concrete step to implement the goals of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on tourism development to 2025, with an orientation to 2030.

To ensure the project is implemented on schedule, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency, the Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee requested the investor to pay special attention to landscape elements, cultural identity, and harmony with nature.

At the same time, coordinate closely with local authorities and departments and branches during implementation. Relevant departments and branches create the most favorable conditions regarding investment procedures, land, construction, and environment according to current regulations. Mường Ảng commune proactively supports site clearance, ensures security and order in the construction area, strengthens propaganda to create consensus among the people, and connects and integrates the project with the commune’s tourism - service development orientation.
