Trần Linh, from Điện Biên Phủ City, shared her feelings at the start of her journey: “I love seeing a sea of clouds, so many clouds. I want to go cloud hunting in the early morning when the sun rises.” Experiencing cloud hunting for the first time, Linh couldn't hide her joy, imagining the clouds drifting by and the sunrise emerging from the vast white sea.

However, the journey to hunt clouds doesn’t always go smoothly. On the day Linh visited Tằng Quái Pass, the weather was unfavourable, with thick fog blocking the sunlight, which made her cloud-hunting experience less than perfect. “I feel a bit disappointed. I’ll probably come back here to try again another time,” Linh shared.

Trần Thị Thu Hải, the owner of Hải An Rest Stop—a popular spot for tourists to view and check in at Tằng Quái Pass—explained: “The best time for cloud hunting is from October to the end of January. Visitors should arrive at the rest stop by 6 a.m. to witness the entire sunrise emerging from the sea of clouds.”

For those who miss the chance to go cloud hunting, many are determined to return to experience it again. Like Linh, who plans to revisit Tằng Quái with the hope of a complete experience, witnessing the majestic and mystical natural landscape of Điện Biên.
