This is no longer a matter of mere orientations or slogans; the requirement that “words must match actions” is being materialized through specific tasks and tangible products, creating a visible shift from the very first months of the new term.
Within Na Son commune, a steering committee for agricultural restructuring for the 2026-2030 period was established in early February 2026, headed by the Secretary of the commune Party Committee. Consequently, the Standing Board of the commune Party Committee quickly issued a plan to implement Resolution No.11-NQ/TU of the provincial Party Committee, clearly defining goals for concentrated commodity agriculture, the application of science and technology, and climate change adaptation to enhance value and income for residents. Specific targets include developing 1,000ha of coffee, 1,500ha of macadamia, 100ha of pineapple, and 50ha of vegetables by 2030.
To ensure effective execution, the commune formed a support team with members assigned to specific areas to directly supervise and urge village and hamlet levels. On March 18, the commune launched a campaign to dig holes for planting macadamia and coffee, attracting numerous officials, soldiers, and residents. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm, Vice Chairman of the commune People’s Committee, stated that soil preparation is being done early to meet the rainy season and ensure production progress. In 2026, the commune strives to plant 150-200ha of coffee and 50ha of macadamia, crops identified as suitable for local soil and climate conditions.
The “words matching actions” spirit is also spreading to other key sectors, notably tourism, one of the province’s development pillars this term. Since the beginning of 2026, the tourism industry has innovated its approach by diversifying promotion across various platforms, from traditional media to the digital environment, combined with events to attract visitors. A prime example is the 2026 Hoa Ban Festival.
Trần Hải Hà, Acting Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, reported that between March 6 and 12, Điện Biên welcomed over 75,000 visitors, a 140% increase from the previous year, with total revenue exceeding VND 120 billion. Many accommodation facilities operated at full capacity, creating significant livelihoods for local people. Estimates for the first three months of the year suggest the province has welcomed approximately 550,000 tourists, a sharp increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth is supported by diverse activities such as the “27 Flavors of Điện Biên Cuisine” festival and the effective use of historical sites through technology-enhanced displays.
From the province level down to the grassroots level, efforts are being made to transform resolutions into specific actions. In education, the inauguration of the inter-level boarding school in Si Pa Phìn commune, the first in a plan to build boarding school systems in border communes, serves as a concrete testament. Alongside this, the province has simultaneously broken ground on five more schools, completing the plan for 15 inter-level boarding schools in the area.
Although many projects are in their early stages, the rapid and synchronized implementation across all sectors affirms the action-oriented spirit of the new term. While the 2026-2030 term is only beginning and many tasks lie ahead, the positive shift from mindset to action and from commitment to results is already clear. “Talk matching action” remains the guiding principle and the measure of efficiency in governance, forming the foundation for Điện Biên to continue its development in this new phase.
