The momentum from emulation

ĐBP - Following the success of the 15th provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress, Điện Biên has witnessed a vibrant and widespread emulation atmosphere throughout the political system and among all classes of people.

On key construction sites, factories, and workshops, the spirit of emulation has become a vital driving force, creating clear movements that promote strong socio-economic development from the very first days of the year and step-by-step realizing the development goals of the province in the new period.

The enthusiastic atmosphere of emulation is being concretized by Điện Biên province through numerous movements and revolutionary actions, creating a wide spread throughout the province. This spirit does not stop at slogans but is transformed into specific tasks and works. With the determination of all levels, sectors, and the people, these widespread movements have brought about clear efficiency, with many economic, social, and environmental indicators reaching or exceeding plans. This forms an important motivation to promote development, improve living standards, and maintain political stability and border security while strengthening the people’s trust in the government.

The efficiency of fruit tree models contributes to the provincial agricultural economy. For instance, the strawberry model of farmers in Mường Phăng commune helps expand livelihoods and create more income.

In implementing the resolution on tourism development until 2025 with a vision to 2030, the provincial People’s Committee launched an emulation movement to protect and develop Ban and Cherry Blossom trees. To green the economy and boost local tourism, the province has reviewed and managed 1,566 hectares of concentrated natural Ban flower forests. Additionally, 83,515 scattered Ban trees were newly planted, along with nearly 100 hectares of pure and intercropped Ban trees.

A major goal is to plant 50,000 Cherry Blossoms by 2030, with a target of 10,000 trees in 2026 alone. At the beginning of 2026 in Mường Phăng commune, a ceremony was held to launch the planting effort with the participation of local leaders and residents. While visiting the newly planted Cherry Blossoms in bản Kéo and bản Che Căn villages, Nguyễn Trần Khánh, Vice Chairman of the Mường Phăng commune People’s Committee, noted that the trees have adapted quickly to the soil and climate with a high survival rate. This area is expected to become a landscape highlight, attracting tourists and creating sustainable livelihoods for the people.

To celebrate the major Party Congresses, Điện Biên has simultaneously commenced and inaugurated many large-scale key projects with strategic meaning for long-term development. On key sites, the emulation spirit is reflected in urgent labor and accelerated progress to finish on time. Every project aims not only to complete the infrastructure system but also to create new space to attract investors.

The recent inauguration of the inter-level boarding school in Si Pa Phìn commune is a vivid result of bringing Party resolutions into practice. Despite the complex terrain and harsh weather of the border highland, the project was finished in just over five months, demonstrating high political determination and effort. This success provides the momentum to complete remaining school projects for the 2026-2027 school year.

At the local level, emulation is linked to specific tasks. In phường Điện Biên Phủ ward, the focus is on removing obstacles for projects and improving the business environment. Nguyễn Quang Hưng, Secretary of the phường Điện Biên Phủ ward Party Committee, shared that the results of emulation are measured by the satisfaction of the people. This has led to positive shifts in the economic structure and budget revenue significantly exceeding estimates, while the public administrative system operates effectively to serve people and businesses. Every successful deed today builds the foundation for the new term, proving that emulation is a concrete action with measurable results.
