Army strength is created from tight organization, strict training, firm discipline, and especially logistics and technique guaranteed scientifically and synchronously. Starting from reality, the armed forces of Điện Biên province proactively shared experiences in logistics and technical work with the military of Northern Laos provinces, thereby deepening defense cooperation and contributing to building increasingly strong armed forces.

In a spirit of proactiveness and responsibility, the provincial Military Command determined that sharing experiences with the military forces of the two provinces of Luang Prabang and Phongsaly is a task of practical significance, both supporting the friends to improve their self-assurance capacity and creating conditions for both sides to exchange and learn from each other.

In mid-November 2025, the Military Command of Điện Biên province organized training and experience exchange on logistics and technical work with a frank, open spirit, attaching importance to substantial efficiency. The exchange content focused on key tasks directly linked to force-building duties. The focus was on sharing experiences in organizing sustainable troop feeding, ensuring meal quality, health care, and improving physical fitness for soldiers; experiences in strict logistics and technical management, using resources effectively; and methods of organizing barracks, military medicine, and logistics transport scientifically, creating a stable environment for soldiers to feel secure in working and training.

Parallel to professional exchange, Lao military trainees were shared by officers of the Military Command of Điện Biên province about the history of the special traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and Laos; and organized visits and studies of typical logistics and technical models at Warehouse K79 of the Department of Logistics - Technical Affairs, Regiment 82, Division 355, and the resettlement housing model in Háng Pu Xi village, Xa Dung commune. These activities clarified the connection between military logistics work and the task of stabilizing People’s lives, helping trainees form a more comprehensive view of the role of logistics in force building.

Through combining traditional education with visiting practical models, trainees firmly consolidated political awareness; at the same time accumulated experience in organizing logistics and technical assurance, serving as a basis for appropriate application at their units, contributing to building regular and elite armed forces.

On the foundation of increasingly deep defense cooperation, in recent years, the armed forces of Điện Biên province and the military of Northern Laos provinces have maintained many forms of close coordination; both sides regularly work and exchange on military, defense, and defense foreign affairs tasks. At working sessions, both sides agreed to evaluate the grasping, dissemination, and implementation of cooperation documents and protocols between the two Parties, States, and militaries; at the same time strengthening coordination between functional forces in mass mobilization work and building local political bases.

Senior Colonel Trịnh Đức Thiêm, Commander of the Military Command of Điện Biên province, said that sharing experiences in logistics and technical work with the military forces of the two provinces of Luang Prabang and Phongsaly carries deep significance in force building. Through two-way exchange, the parties promote effective methods together, remove difficulties in organizing logistics and technical assurance together, thereby consolidating army strength, ensuring the armed forces maintain endurance, discipline, and the ability to complete long-term tasks, demonstrating the responsibility and close affection between the armed forces of Điện Biên province and the Lao military.

The special friendship relationship between Vietnam and Laos was formed on a historical foundation, cultivated by trust and attachment between the two peoples. On the foundation of special trust, defense cooperation between the Military Command of Điện Biên province and Northern Laos provinces continues to affirm long-term strategic significance. From there, the armed forces of each side constantly grow, aiming together at the goal of firmly protecting independence, sovereignty, and maintaining peace and stability for the region and each country.
