Attending the conference were comrades of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; the Standing bodies of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; and leaders of several provincial departments, branches, and mass organizations.
In the first months of the year, the Executive Board of the provincial Party Committee, the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, and the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee strictly implemented the Party’s regulations, the State’s legal policies, and working regulations. The provincial Party Executive Committee held 5 conferences (from the 9th to the 13th session) to give opinions on drafts before promulgation.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee held 14 meetings (from the 11th to the 24th meeting) to prepare contents for the Executive Board of the provincial Party Committee to consider and decide. The contents included the organization of the apparatus and cadres, and the Q1/2026 evaluation of leaders and managers according to their authority. The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee gave policy approval for contents before the provincial People’s Committee submitted them to the People’s Council; it also approved the organization of 4 meetings of the provincial People’s Council and other contents according to its authority and working regulations.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee met 17 times (from the 15th to the 31st meeting) to give policy approval for contents within its authority and provide opinions before submitting them to the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee for a decision, promptly handling tasks according to working regulations and monthly and weekly work programs.
The Standing Board of the provincial People’s Council upheld its spirit of responsibility, proactively closely following the key tasks of the provincial Party Committee and the resolutions of the provincial People’s Council to lead, direct, and implement the tasks of the People’s Council, the Standing Board of the provincial People’s Council, the Committees of the People’s Council, and the Office of the National Assembly Deputy Delegation and provincial People’s Council, ensuring the successful completion of the set tasks. It prepared and successfully organized 5 meetings of the Provincial People’s Council.
The provincial National Assembly deputies promoted a sense of responsibility, actively participating in law-building activities, supervision, voter contacts, and citizen receptions, and fully attended the activities of the National Assembly, National Assembly agencies, and the province. The activities of the provincial National Assembly Deouty Delegation continued to show many innovations, quality, and effectiveness; coordination with the Standing Board of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and related agencies was strictly maintained. The opinions and recommendations of voters, along with citizens’ petitions and letters, were received, processed, monitored, and urged for timely resolution according to regulations.
In Q1/2026, the province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated to increase by 9.04% compared to the same period last year. In terms of value, according to the growth scenario, the Q1/2026 GRDP was expected to reach VND 6,741.63 billion; however, the actual result only reached VND 6,591.64 billion, which is VND 149.99 billion lower than the target. Among the 21 level-I economic sectors, 7 sectors met and exceeded the Q1 growth target, while 13 sectors and fields did not meet the progress according to the proposed growth scenario.
The cumulative disbursement of the state budget investment capital plan for 2026 up to May 14, 2026, was VND 1,142,293 million out of VND 4,572,796 million, reaching 24.98% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Regarding the 32 public investment projects under the province’s growth scenario, for the Q2 target, the projects in the growth scenario plan needed to disburse VND 1,405,198 million; by the end of May 20, 2026, VND 1,161,893 million had been disbursed, reaching 83.69% of the scenario.
The work of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations achieved positive and comprehensive results; they proactively followed the leadership of the Party committee, coordinated closely, and effectively implemented tasks, especially in propagating and mobilizing the people, contributing to consolidating trust and strengthening social consensus. The organization of the elections for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy, openness, and transparency.
At the conference, delegates proposed many key solutions to ensure double-digit growth targets in the coming time, such as: formulating plans to adjust, allocate, and accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles in site clearance work; trade promotion; and accelerating the planting of industrial crops.
Concluding the conference, provincial Party Secretary Trần Tiến Dũng requested the drastic and synchronous implementation of tasks. He urged the continued strong innovation of mindset in leadership, direction, and administration; enhancing the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility; matching words with actions, following through to the end, and creating specific products. He called for strengthening discipline and order in financial and budget management; improving the efficiency of budget collection, and fully exploiting revenue sources. He emphasized focusing on handling weak projects, delayed projects, and projects with bottlenecks both inside and outside the budget; resolving surplus land; and continuing to well implement social security policies, taking care of the people’s lives, especially in ethnic minority, remote, and isolated areas.
The provincial Party Secretary requested localities and units to focus on accelerating the planting of industrial crops; simultaneously effectively deploying livestock development projects toward scale and concentration, associated with the application of science and technology. He stressed effectively deploying public investment projects, ensuring schedule and quality, and promoting capital efficiency. Emphasis was placed on disbursing for projects with high disbursement capabilities, especially those that promote efficiency, as well as paying attention to developing commerce and services, effectively implementing consumer stimulus programs, promoting goods circulation, and expanding consumer markets for local products.
