Provincial Party Secretary Cường attends seminar at Political Academy

ĐBP – In celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher's Day (20 November 1982 – 20 November 2024), Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee, participated in a seminar titled The Role of Lecturers in Building a Standardised Political Academy at the Provincial Political Academy on Wednesday.

After two years of implementing the project to establish the Điện Biên Provincial Political Academy as a standardised institution, the academy has met 48 out of 55 criteria.

Key achievements include advising the Provincial Party Committee, faculty development, enhancing training and professional growth, fostering a Party academy culture, and ensuring discipline and compliance.

The academy has successfully fulfilled its professional responsibilities, achieved its planned targets, and significantly improved training quality. In 2024, it was nominated by the northern border political academy emulation cluster for a commendation from the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Secretary Cường extended his heartfelt congratulations to the staff and lecturers of the academy on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

He expressed his hope that Party educators would continue to excel in their noble mission, upholding the proud traditions of Vietnamese teachers and the Party school system. He emphasised the importance of educators continuously enhancing their political integrity, professional expertise, and ethical standards to serve as exemplary role models for their students.

Acknowledging the academy’s contributions to cadre training and development, Secretary Cường urged it to further strengthen solidarity and innovation in its pursuit of standardised status.

He stressed the importance of improving training quality by integrating practical knowledge into theoretical instruction and professionalising the faculty to better support the province’s political theory education for cadres.

Secretary Cường also highlighted the need for the academy to advance scientific research and practical reviews, offering effective solutions for cadre training and Party building. He encouraged its continued contribution to human resource development and the province’s socio-economic growth.

On this occasion, Secretary Cường presented the Medal for Contributions to Political Theory Training and Development from the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics to two lecturers and awarded a certificate of merit to a lecturer who received a promising award in the 2024 political essay competition defending the Party's ideological foundation.
