The Điện Biên Phủ Victory stands as a brilliant milestone and an immortal epic - becoming a symbol of revolutionary heroism that further brightened the thousands-of-years history of nation-building and defense of the Vietnamese people. To achieve that great victory, thousands of outstanding sons and daughters of Vietnam heroically fought, served in combat, and sacrificed for national independence and freedom, socialism, and public happiness. Before the spirits of heroic martyrs, the working delegation pledged to continue building a rich, strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.
Offering incense and flowers at A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng and the delegation expressed profound respect, commemoration, and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fought courageously and sacrificed during the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign - contributing to making the victory “illustrious across five continents, shaking the globe.” Before the heroic spirits, delegates vowed to join hands and overcome difficulties, continuing to promote the nation’s glorious tradition and determining to build a wealthy, strong, and sustainably developed home province, worthy of the grand sacrifices of preceding generations.
Subsequently, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Phí Hương Dũng - a 42% war invalid and resistance participant exposed to toxic chemicals (41-60%) residing in Văn Minh Residential Group, Điện Biên Phủ ward.
In a cordial atmosphere, the Prime Minister solicitously inquired about the health and daily life of Phí Hương Dũng’s family. Concurrently, he affirmed that the Party, State, and People always remember and cherish the great contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and national contributors who shed blood for the Fatherland’s independence and freedom.
The Prime Minister wished war invalid Phí Hương Dũng good health to continue spreading the image of a soldier in everyday life, encouraging children and grandchildren to uphold the traditions of their ancestors in building their home province and country.
