Reportedly, the provincial Literature and Arts Association, operating under the motto “Solidarity, intelligence, creativity, and development,” has successfully brought together artists to preserve traditions and foster the growth of literature and the arts in the province. Artistic and literary works produced in the province express traditional cultural values, reflecting unique identities of various ethnic minority groups. They highlighted emerging positive influences in society, condemn wrongdoing and moral decay, and promote truth, kindness, and beauty, addressing the cultural needs of the people. These works also supported key political events, major national celebrations, and promoted the image of Điện Biên’s land and people.

Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Giàng Thị Hoa, who is also Chairwoman of the provincial Literature and Arts Association, delivers remarks at the event.

The association is home to 156 artists and writers who are deeply involved in depicting the diverse realities of life, often traveling to remote areas, ethnic minority communities, and border regions. They strive to capture and highlight evolving social trends, innovative local practices, and emerging challenges, while also taking an active and responsible role in broader social initiatives. Their works play a vital role in preserving culture, fostering social progress, and contributing to national security and political stability.

Meanwhile, 41 elite artisans have played a key role in preserving, teaching, and practicing intangible cultural heritage in Điện Biên. They serve as the vital link connecting generations, ensuring that local traditions, historical values, and artistic heritage of ethnic groups within the province are safeguarded and passed down.
