In 2026, the regiment received and trained 1,657 citizens for people’s public security service duty, with 740 of those soldiers undergoing their training specifically within Điện Biên province. To ensure rapid organizational stability and high training quality, the unit has implemented comprehensive solutions ranging from political and ideological education to the strict maintenance of daily routines.
Hoàng Văn Xìu, Head of the Training Board, emphasized that the unit focuses heavily on the education and management of soldiers by strictly maintaining the living standards required of a concentrated armed unit. Training is conducted according to a detailed program that balances new lessons with frequent review sessions. Furthermore, the training staff is imbued with a spirit of dedication, providing constant guidance and encouragement to help soldiers overcome initial hurdles. To foster a vibrant atmosphere, the unit has launched “good teaching and good learning” competitions alongside various cultural and sporting activities that create a sense of excitement across the entire regiment.
On the training grounds, the atmosphere is urgent and serious as recruits practice martial arts, platoon regulations, and the use of weapons and support tools. These tasks require high levels of precision, decisiveness, and discipline. Under the direct supervision of officers, every movement is meticulously corrected, allowing recruits to quickly grasp techniques and improve their practical execution. To help these new soldiers integrate into this disciplined lifestyle, instructors prioritize political education to ensure they clearly understand the purpose and requirements of their mission.
Major Trần Mạnh Tùng from the 1st Mobile Police Battalion noted that the training follows a progression from easy to difficult and from basic to advanced. This “hand-holding” approach ensures that every soldier masters each movement and performs them fluently. After just one month, the growth of these recruits is evident not only in their physical strength and skills but also in their mental fortitude. Soldier Trần Hồng Phúc shared that while he was initially overwhelmed by the strict discipline, the support from officers and peers helped him adapt, turning a difficult environment into a valuable space for personal growth.
Similarly, soldier Lưu Văn Chung observed significant changes in his own perception and conduct. He noted that the training has enhanced his physical ability and sense of responsibility while fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and solidarity within the unit. Beyond professional duties, the regiment organizes cultural and athletic events to improve the spiritual lives of the soldiers and build collective bonds. These activities help relieve pressure after intense hours on the training ground.
With the close guidance of the leadership and the persistent efforts of the personnel, the 2026 training season is proving highly effective. The results achieved after this first month provide a vital foundation for these soldiers to continue their journey toward fulfilling their duties in the new era.
